G-Col's new game

(IMO) you didn't enjoy playing Private Nurse. But to each his own...

Don't get me wrong. I'm still getting this game, if only because I've exhausted the current selection of (IMO) appealing games, and the only other upcoming game on the horizon is X-change 3. But I'm definitely not expecting much more than another Heart de Roommate, which I liked, though it's not one of my favorites. This one seems like it'll be less silly, which is a plus.

I resemble that statement!

Looks like Death will be one of the characters I’m avoiding. Actually, from my less than extensive knowledge of Japanese mythology, I’m guessing she’s a shinigami. You can kind of think of them as “death angels.” They’re involved in guiding departed souls to their place in the afterlife–there’s not really anything sinister about them like with the grim reaper.

BTW, that was just my weird way of pointing out a redundancy in your sentence structure. Nothing personal. Yes, I criticized someone’s grammar…bring out the guillotine!

Actually, the Blonde in the business dress is "Death"

In the afterlife, SHE is the one who bones YOU.

Raped by a dickgirl?! Argh. So on a scale of Hitomi to Virgin Roster, exactly how dark is this game? Such a sweet sounding title too...

LOL. No, not that, although it would make for an interesting game. Just had to make a joke about the standard image portrayl of Death (skeleton with a scythe) and here (blond bombshell).

Well if the grim reaper was cute it wouldn’t be a problem

Kazoku Keikaku 87/100 <- Best D.O.'s game, wonder why don't GColl localize it.

Btw. those scores are bit relative, for example Kana is highest scored game for 1999. (Kanon is second).

Crescendo is #13 for year 2001, where Kazoku Keikaku is #1 (!!), in front of Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (#2) and Air (#3)

By the way, did you guys know the news? They both CRESCENDO-FULL VOICED VERSION and KAZOKU KEIKAKU are being re-re-released again this month in Japan!

Talking about great sucess...

Woo hoo here's to hopefully getting the full voiced version here too

Yep, I’m pretty sure there were voices in Crescendo. But maybe the fully full voice version adds voice for the main character… Come to think of it, I can’t remember if he was voiced. I’m guessing probably not…

Our translated version of CRESCENDO is really the full-voiced version. I finished a couple of weeks ago and even the male characters (except the protagonist) have voices.

My point in giving that news is: even nowadays D.O. can make money with old games like KANA, CRESCENDO and KAZOKU KEIKAKU. Why G-Col don’t see this and try to release KAZOKEI and SUMERAGI NO MIKOTACHI here, just like they did with KANA and CRESCENDO?

Perhaps, the success of Crescendo and Kana - Imouto here isn’t the same as it is in Japan?

Taking a look at the trend which titles were more and more preferred for a release after the first lineup was a good mix of popular genres should give us an impression which kind of titles sold best on the english market yet.

You get two cookies with the whipped cream. (In other words, thanks for saying what I was going to say about it.)

I've gotten the impresssion that GC can't just translate any game they feel like--even from CD Bros. This is, of course, complete speculation on my part.

Edit: And there goes my theory.

[This message has been edited by Dark_Shiki (edited 03-18-2005).]

Actually I was hoping they would release KAZOKU KEIKAKU

Kinda sucks that good story games don’t sell as well as the other types, but I’m holding out hope more will be released.

You also get two cookies with the whipped cream too, for the same reason.

(There's more than one reason why certain games are done and other aren't, folks.)

The Full voice version from G-Collections, is actually the first Crescendo version which was released in Japan. G-Collections added the voices from the DVD version, but they didn`t include the extended and new scenarios from it.

So the english Full Voice version is missing these new and extended scenarios. Here is a little image from one of these scenarios:

ah man that kinda sucks we didn’t get extra content with crescendo. OH well the game is still very good.

Yeah, some extra content would’ve been very nice, but the game is still great without a doubt.

what a great pic… i wish i had it on my cd
.

Well, actually, if you own the G-Collections release of Crescendo, the extra images are on your CD. Use GGDcut to view them:
