I did get a reply to my initial request for information. Then I asked a few questions as well as formally applied in my response, havn't heard back from that one but like I said, I'm in no rush. (Though I've already receive that look from my friend when I mentioned to her that I applied for a position at a bishoujo game company.)

Ah well. Anyways, since I'm speculating on stuff as it is, which title do you think the game editor will end up working on? I mean, LMM and Gibo were mentioned by name in the newsletter but then again Doushin was shown in the last catalog. Any guesses?

i’m in the same boat where i got a reply to my initial request, i sent back confirmation that yes, i am qualified for this and that, and yes, i really want the position, then i got another email outlining what was needed for the position, but my last email was quoted and someone else’s email asking for info (someone named Eddie) was quoted as well, and there were more details about the job and asking what our opinions were about what was required, time and effort-wise…

i responded to that one as well, still showing great enthusiasm, and haven’t heard back from him again yet …and like i said before, i am going batty!

Sorry, but I think LMM is mine for the taking; Peter is already mailing me all the resource items for it now…

So it will be the other titles…which titles, I have no idea. Maybe you get to work on surprise titles never previously announced :stuck_out_tongue:

[img]http://princess.cybrmall.net/ubb/wink.gif[/img] Actually, despite the fact that it's not the sort of game I'm into, I'm strangely looking forward to Gibo when it comes out. I think it's so that I can finally say I've played a game and seen the anime based on it. The closest I think I've ever gotten to that goal was watching the last VHS volume of Gloria. I thought that over and over again. I think, the pointers from Peter head into the direction of Will and I recall one game in PeaPri's first Producct catalog, that hasn't been mentioned for quite some time, even though there is still the according picket line ante PeaPri's portas.

If my thoughts are right, that would indeed over-qualify ladyphoenix-sama for the editor-position.

The problem with soliciting applications in this manner is that you really can’t tell how committed people would be to getting the work done. If someone’s working 60 hours a week in a f/t job, and has family committments, it’ll be tough to find 20 hours every single week to work on the game title.

Also, how would you screen out the underaged applicants?

Personally I have no idea how Peter will select the most suitable candidate…

underaged applicants…good point…but then this “job posting” technically (at least the best of my knowledge) was only shown here on this BBS, peapri’s main page, and the newsletter. All these spots “technically” shouldn’t have any minors lurking around anyways…

I woulnd't worry about it. Between all the people applying and the amount of other emails, they may just not have gotten around to yours yet.

Hmm, and if it's that game, Ladyphoenix-sama probably would be overqualified [img]http://princess.cybrmall.net/ubb/wink.gif[/img]. And I sure wouldn't want to get between her and the position in that case. I can see the news report now... "A man's desiccated body was found last night. Officers on the scene remarked 'It looked like all the blood was drained out of his body and he had all these little marks all over him. And there was this strange lemon fresh scent in the room...'"

OH MY GOD, if it IS Slave Bazaar as one of the titles, I WILL DIE!!! in a good, not-really-die kind of way, of course

and yes, then no one had better get in my way…i never even thought of Slave Bazaar to be perfectly honest…i considered it too far down the line to be valid for this round of playtesting/editing…the only title Peter mentioned in one of his emails to me was Gibo

If it DOES involve Slave Bazaar then I would imagine they wouldn't tell you before you sign your nondisclosure agreement.

I agree with nandemonai. Hell at nintendo we can’t even talk about what we are working on outside of the testing room, and they never tell us what we are testing untill we get there.
