True. First, the ST being scheduled for an US release is settled in the US. Second, at present time, only the action/adventure game based off ST5 will come for sure in the US; the "real" ST5 would come after... probably depending on the success of the ST5A (it's the opposite release order in Japan: ST5 then ST5A).

Well, I did read the articles waaay back when, I just didn't quiiiiite believe them. And unless I'm mistaken I believe they said they were trying to decide whether to release the port of ST1 here after the action game, to ease people into the series.

I dunno, I prefer Evil Dead 2. It had something indescribable that Army of Darkness lacked.

If you are going for cult horror as a favorite. I recommend Rocky Horror Picture Show. It is alot more fun than those mentioned previously.

Anyway, back to the topic for a moment

Man, Chain is long…I played Kango Shicyauzo first, then DOR (I tried to play in estimated order of how much I’d like them, from least to most, but DOR is worse than Kango IMO…but anyway…)

I’ve probably put over four hours into the game (maybe close to five) and I’ve only seen one h-scene and I don’t even seem to be into the actual plot of the game yet–the game still seems to be setting itself up plotwise. How long is it?

What, Chain? ZyX estimates it's about 1140 minutes long.

I’ll believe it…

Yes it’s really long, especially once you get into the second investigation (The one after the infidelity case) because it takes awhile for the clues to be presented.

Awww, why not? It's very liberating! Uh, I may have said too much...

Hmm, don't know when I'll get around to picking up DOR or Chain myself. I finally got a DVD drive for my computer and I'm finally going through all the DVD's I've been picking up the past few months.

Isn’t it growing a bit silent around here lately?

Are you all in the chatroom and don’t find your way back out from there?

… or has someone abducted our goddess and the others are still searching for her, not telling me of this?
Maybe, this would be a case for Spec-san and his lemon-scouts?

All at once? Fishy!
... or might it be "Viper Paradice" that is to blame?
If it could be that addictive, I wonder if it is a wise decision to not order it at all.

The lemon scouts are reday, if theya re needed! But didn't Ladyphoenix warn us that she might not be here as much as before, since she's still depressed after you-know-what? And as for the other regulars, we do see them from time to time, but they don't come THAT often here...

I really that your vision about... mumies is correct. I can see the articles of various newspapers alredy... "Players of dangerous pretty girl games found starved to death in front of their computers!"

Well, there will always be slow periods. We can’t keep up the insanity all the time. (Though there are days we come close.) I’m sure it’ll pick up in a few days. (Or if worst comes to worst, I’ll start off a few threads I’ve been thinking of but I hate doing that…)

Out of curiosity, who do you guys consider are the “regulars”? I mean, there are those who’ve been here almost from the begining but only post occassionally. There are also those who post on a semi-regular basis, and those that don’t post often but when they do, it’s usually an impact post. (And of course there’s Spec-san who I tend to put into a category all his own… ) Sigh, the things my brain thinks about before 6a.m. on 2 hours of sleep…

Well, regarding my reviews-to-be-written, I am not as far as I should be in most of those games, in order to write a review. So, the first games, I might write reviews about, would be mahjongg-games ("Sho-Ki" and "Datsui-Jann 2" to be more specific).
The ones most interesting for the audience of this board (CROWD: "Obbligato" and "Owarinaki maidotachi no yoru", Will: "Dokusen" and "Vie - itsuka no natsu no hi") are games, I would right now not try to judge, because I still don't know them good enough. "Dokusen" is a tough cookie in particular, because I still have not yet found a way to open the other three scenarios.

Perhaps, olf-san would have some matching reviews in store?

Wonderful, I'm in a category of my own! . But I always try to post here at least once each day! Those I'd consider regualrs are those that post here at least once every week. Then, again, it's hard to say; soem peopel have been her efor a long time, but don't post too often.

I don't really like slow periods myself. Make stihngs booring.

Or perhaps Kagami-san? Or someone else? I mean, many of the "Elders" at this board have brought at least one japanese game, just to try it out. So maybe others could do a couple of reviews...

Yes, but I suggested olf because:
a) he already mentioned this game "ONE" in this thread
b) I visitied the ren'ai group and have seen some reviews, he has posted there

I'd favor that, but it is also a lot of work to write reviews (especially, if you are not used to it), so it would be a bit too optimistic to expect all of them to write reviews. However, any review would be appreciated, so who's going to be the first?

(If you all wait until monday, I'll most probably be it )

Well, no, sorry, I don't intend to put any reviews in Peach Princess board, mostly because they're too much of an amateurish quality to be put in a company public board AND because of possible copyrights problem AND because I don't like my works to be exposed to the whole world's eyes.
OTOH, I'll keep posting reviews in the ren'ai ML (presently, I'm writing a review for the first "Toraha" game...)
