Oh, I wrote that commission line on my site about half a year AFTER peapri started, so it really has no bearing with peapri hiring me at all. Besides, by “commission” I was referring to CG commissions than other types of commissions (although as you can see from my site I can do much more than just CG). But to be honest, ever since I started my website, I have NEVER received any commission requests, probably because my site is not widely known yet in the west (according to my site logs over half of my visitors are from japan, btw)…so, anybody want to hire me for commission?
Did peapri hire me? Well, it doesn’t take too much work or effort to monitor the BBS, does it? That’s pretty much all I was asked to do, really. Ever since peapri started (and even before that actually when the company was still setting up) I have been offering advice and suggestions to Peter and the peapri staff mostly on a “free/friend service” basis…like, the most Peter and peapri is just fire me an email and I just reply, that’s it nothing more so I can’t really charge them for every single word I type in the email, can I? So I am not really an employee of peapri as I mentioned at the “new site new mod” thread.
So yes, I kinda work for free, although I do get free stuff from Peter and peapri at times (but not often). However, there are a couple of things that I did for peapri on a “freelance” basis, and once I am done with them, that’s the end to it. It’s not like I am a full-time staff sitting in the SD office doing nothing but watching this BBS; that will be a big waste of company resources.
So, the bottom line: I don’t consider myself as being “hired” nor do I don’t consider myself as an “employee” of peapri.
…and in case you are wondering, no, I do not maintain the peapri webpages, since I don’t want to mess around with the merchant pages (although I am a web designer, SSL and credit card stuff are beyond my range).
