The Japanese don’t know what April Fool’s Day is, it is unlikely a joke. Not to mention the Japanese are not likely to parody the US or Europe in any way like this. They don’t think much outside the box, so to speak, and the “box” is pretty much Japan. The Japanese are a very insular people.

Having just now had a chance to look at the site, I have the following observations to add.
One, this looks like far too much work for it to simply be a joke.
Two, if it WERE an April Fool's joke, you'd expect Libido to make a joke that Japanese people would relate to and/or find amusing. A joke about the English market would be of tangential interest to most Japanese, I think.
Three, their barely-functional English means whoever made that page is more than likely Japanese--so while they may or may not have, like, translators, they've shown no evidence of them ;).

It seems this game is related to an old Sega Saturn release. Was it also a JP PC game? Has anyone played it before? I can’t seem to find any reviews on the net.
Yes, there was also a JP PC release, one that predated the Sega Saturn version. It’s a relatively old game–it came out in late '96 or early '97. From what little I can remember, it’s a dating simulation game, nothing particularly spectacular by today’s standards, but it’s pretty solid (though I admit that the graphics are very underwhelming, especially compared to the games on the market today).
Hmm, too bad about the Japanese text option but I think I can live without it.

It also specifies a DVD-ROM drive. I wonder if that requirement will make it unavailable to some people? Assuming, of course, it’s still released on April 25th as advertised. I can’t see any reference to the English version at Himeya Soft, Inc. or AnimeNation, the two named resellers.
I dont claim to be an advertising specialist, but it does seem to me that they are trying to keep this a quiet release for some reason… it seems to me they are missing an announcement or going to make one soon… otherwise they are just hoping to hit a target audience… just my opinion

Really starting to look that way. Still, I wonder why they put those two vendor links up since they’re mainly for foreign markets. Unless it’s some sort of default set of links they use, except I don’t know why they would have a link to a vendor who hasn’t even heard of them. Very strange all around.
