Man, after checking through how the entire engine works…it looks like LMM might actually take longer to test than BS …and the 200+ page booklet itself is already imtimidating, but we will see since I haven’t really started any actual work yet, maybe if I get the hang of it work gets done faster…
I will be busy for the next 2 weeks with a Japanese CG contest submission so I don’t think I will start the editing/testing until then; so far I only ran through the game once very quickly to see what the game is like in the new engine with new options and uncensored graphics etc and skipping 99% of the text by holding the CTRL key all the way through…and what do you know I got a good ending
Compared to the ANCIENT win95-based engine LMM used in the Japanese version, ya this is much better in terms of both functionality, and possibly IMHO aesthetically better than the engine used in Critical Point (I only played the english demo Dave E posted long ago though). I can’t really compare much now since it’s been years since I played the japanese version of LMM I pretty much forgot what the interface looked like back then…
And yup all the eye blinking and mouth moving will be carried over to the new engine, so you guys should be happy about this…although I am currently figuring out why Aya moves her mouth when Mari is the one doing the talking
