Ne ne, what do you want, oniichan?

Company: Astronauts

Titles:

- Verethragna ~Seisen no Duelist~ - VNDB - Gallery (NSFW)

- Grimoire no Shisho - VNDB - Gallery (NSFW)

- Demonion ~Maou no Chika Yousai~ - VNDB - Gallery (NSFW)

- Sei Estera Gakuin no Shichinin no Majo - VNDB - Gallery (NSFW)

I think you missed the rest of VNDB. The remaining titles are feeling lonely and underappreciated.

Would you care to explain why you're requesting all these titles, rather than continuing to replicate the entire visual novel database in this thread? The posts you're making don't contribute much to this thread, IMO.

You’re requesting too much. For one, people aren’t going to spend several hours of their time reading up on all these games (I sure won’t), and there’s no description of these games. So no one will upvote your requests. For another, you just buried other peoples’ requests with your own (which is sort of rude).

Because you named so many, your requests are … kind of watered down. You just requested, like, fifty games. That’s so many that alongside the games you really want, there’s gotta be some that only “look interesting”. Peter probably only wants games people are dying to get their hands on. Someone who only lists 3 games really wants those 3. The guy who lists 50? He’d never actually buy all 50 games.

Never mind the fact that fifty games is Jast USA’s entire output over the next decade.

"Would you care to explain why you're requesting all these titles, rather than continuing to replicate the entire visual novel database in this thread?"

"Peter probably only wants games people are dying to get their hands on."

My intent isn't to replicate VNDB on this board but rather to highlight certain companies that I'd be interested in buying games from. Remember Peter said that only about 10-20% of companies even show any interest in dealing with JAST so listing requests by companies while showcasing their best titles (some old & some new) appeared to be the best way to go.

Spending hours discussing only a select few titles & companies knowing the odds Peter gave us appears to be counter productive to me; that is if the goal is to properly utilize fan-base input in the licensing process.†

I assure you I didn't just select random junk from VNDB and post it here. Each of the titles I selected I'd buy on day one, Limited Edition release, at full MSRP. I also feel that the titles/partnerships I recommended would do well for JAST based on the marketing potential of said games.

So my recommendation for everyone would be to upvote the companies they'd support if JAST were to make a partnership with them.

A list of brands isn't all that useful. When I said, "Would you care to explain why you're requesting these titles," I didn't mean defend your actions. I meant actually explain why you want these titles. Each one. You posted about 50. You've got your work cut out for you.

@ Dark_Shiki

"A list of brands isn’t all that useful."

Which is why I didn’t just make a list of companies (in one post) but included my top picks for these brands with links to VNDB and the official Galleries. It makes more sense for JAST to pursue a company that has more than just one good title they might want to license. Interestingly enough “a list of brands” appears to be exactly what MG is looking for based on yesterday’s post.

"When I said, “Would you care to explain why you’re requesting these titles,” I didn’t mean defend your actions. I meant actually explain why you want these titles.
"

My selection criteria for these titles started with the art style and quality, character design and then I checked the titles review scores on VNDB and Amazon Japan. For a majority of my picks its safe to say that if you like both Empress and Lilith you’ll like these titles as well.

"Each one. You posted about 50. You’ve got your work cut out for you."

That’s a good one. I don’t recall too many people going into great detail (including yourself) about the titles they requested (although there are some exceptions).

Since I’ve got your attention and you’re up for some specifics let me ask you what you’re thoughts are on Gyakushuu 4 (plus fandisc)? It’s one of the best looking titles among my picks, with good reviews, not too long, and its actually a title that JAST should be able acquire since the parent company is Crowd and the title was originally released in 2011.

It is a sequel like Raidy III but I don’t think the barrier to entry should be too high, similar to Raidy III. What do you think?

"what you're thoughts are on Gyakushuu 4 (plus fandisc)?"

No opinion. This isn't the type of game I'm interested in. Seems well-rated on EGS and VNDB.

I get bored of repeating myself every time a thread like this comes up, so I just gave the bare minimum. I did present a common theme (gameplay / interactivity), and elaborated on that a bit. I kept my post short and focused. I might've been inspired to expand on the post and include links and such, but... no edit function so I didn't.

Long lists of titles with no apparent theme or rationale for their selection don't serve any purpose, and they're not going to gather support. JAST is just as capable of browsing VNDB as anyone else.

"I might’ve been inspired to expand on the post and include links and such, but… no edit function so I didn’t."

If (or when) the edit function comes around I’ll consolidate all my posts into one and delete the rest. Some of the reasons I didn’t do it here is because of the lack of edit functionality, inability to preview posts, and the strange fonts I get when copy-pasting from my word application.

"Long lists of titles with no apparent theme or rationale for their selection don’t serve any purpose, and they’re not going to gather support."

The theme is games with great art quality and design, great to good reviews, not overly long, with a good potential for a return on investment for JAST.

Trial Version VNDB

Just do the whole shoujo/empress catalogue

Seriously, Bible Black and discipline were the very best of all the VN I have ever played. With starless it seems you are already on the way. Do them all !

ZyX - Raidy 3.5 ~Forres Kiki Ippatsu~

Alcot - Kurenai no Tsuki

Anim - Princess Collection ~Utsukushiki Kyonyuu Hime to Jinrui Saikyou no Otoko~

r√∫f - Tsukutori

Ninetail - Gears of Dragoon ~Meikyuu no Uroboros~

SofthouseChara - Akuma Musume no Kanban Ryouri

Dandelion - Ryuusei no Arcadia

Palette - Koi ga Saku Koro Sakura Doki

I'd like to see more Seishoujo (even a re release of Bible Black and Discipline (without the excellent add on which was terrible) and preferably with option for mosaics. ;p

Other than that I like Bishoujo Mangekyou and it's sequels. Actually Boin and Resort Boin despite being old would be so awesome too.

I think it'd be cool to see some of Erectlips games like

Gyakuten Majo Saiban -Chijo na Majo ni Sabakarechau- cause the pink haired chick is cute.

Little†Bitch ~Little Bitch Girls in Hog Farm~/Little Do S Bitch ~Sensee no Koto, Ijimete A-ge-ru Although maybe these one may be hard because they look young.

I think they'd be simple to translate and bring over. I only played the bitch girls games which is just reading, sex scene after sex scene, and only has one route.

I would love to see the Bishoujo Mangekyou series from ?star come over as well. The art is amazing. After seeing some of the uncensored bits it just makes it that much better. They look very well done. It's best when artists take time to draw the lewd bits despite the fact that they will just be mosaic'd over.

Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi would be an excellent choice to bring over. A lot of people show interest in this game- well at least my friends and I do.. You have access to Nitroplus games so this is a good choice. Also again, pink haired girl mmm.

Akuma de Oshioki! Marukido Sadoshiki Hentai Oshioki Kouza looks interesting. I like the ass slapping simulator on the games website. The characters look pretty cute as well.

And again more 0verflow games like the days games would be nice.

I hope you consider these choices! Some seem simple while others may be more complicated. I would mostly love to see Bishoujo Mangekyou and Kimi to Kanjo to no Koi if anything. Those are the top on my list to see come over. So do what you can! Bring over more great titles in english please.

"Lune - Chijoku no Onna Kishi “Orc no Dekisokonai de Aru Kisama Nanka ni, Kono Watashi ga…!!”
“SofthouseChara - Akuma Musume no Kanban Ryouri
“Bishoujo Mangekyou series from ?star

+1 for all of these titles (requested all of these already over at MG).

"Actually Boin and Resort Boin despite being old would be so awesome too.“

I’d give these a +1 if I hadn’t already requested them on a previous page :stuck_out_tongue:

"I’d like to see more Seishoujo (even a re release of Bible Black and Discipline (without the excellent add on which was terrible)”

+1 for all Sei Shoujo titles. Also would be great to keep Bible Black and Discipline in print (a 2-in-1 hard copy release would be great).

"Anim - Princess Collection ~Utsukushiki Kyonyuu Hime to Jinrui Saikyou no Otoko~"

Not my first choice from Anim, that’s Gyakushuu 4, but I’d certainly pick it up if released. With Anim’s parent company being Crowd, one of JAST’s partners, I’m hopeful for an English release for some of their better titles such as these two.

I’m still up for Dramatical Murder being shown in JAST USA. They own the rights to Nitroplus games. There is a fanbase for DMMD for both the games and anime that was recently released. One of the most popular BL games from Nitroplus Chiral. Even after the re:code for the PS Vita which included a new route for one of the characters. I would definitely love to see the PC version for DRAMAtical Murder, uncut and uncensored.

Atelier G/H - Mahou Shoujo Pure Saints ~Makechau Tabi ni, Dondon Ecchi na Seigi no Heroine ni Natte Icchau no~

Discovery - Hitozuma Sentai Aisaiger

Maika - Gakuen Sei Senshi Sailor Knight ~Seigi no Heroine Kanzen Seifuku Manual~

piriri! - Kimi to Boku to no Kishi no Hibi -Rakuen no Chevalier-

You guys spoiled me with Littlewitch Romanesque. I’m a huge Oyari fan, so I’d be thrilled if you could pick up as many of his games as possible.

- Shirotsume Souwa -Episode of the Clovers- (2002)

- Quartett! (2004)
- Rondo Leaflet (2006)
- Period (2007) + Period Sweet Drops (fan disc)
- Seiken no Fairies (2009)
- Sugar Coat Freaks (2010)
- EiyuuSenki Gold (2014)

With Fruitbat Factory bringing over the first EiyuuSenki in English on PS3 (and having already played the PS3 version in Japanese anyway), I’d be most excited for a translation of E*S Gold, though I do realize there could be problems with that since it’s so new. It’s got a ton of gameplay, though, if you’re especially interested in those kinds of titles.

Plus physical releases for every one of them you can manage. I’m building quite the Oyari collection at home.

And while it would be a HUGE longshot, because I don’t even know what the licensing statuses of these games are (they were Hudson Soft properties) and they only exist on consoles so far so porting would be a huge pain, I’d also like to see the “Kita e” series from PS2/Dreamcast (no H content). Completely understandable if that’s considered a no-go right from the start, though.

Let’s see…

First, I would like to mention Type-Moon, who are mainly known for Tsukihime and the Fate/ series. I think it’s a little bit surprising that no one talked about them yet. Are there problems that stop JAST from pursuing their games? They are pretty popular and I’m certain that a lot of people would buy them, especially with a Steam release.

Second is Empress/ Sei Shoujo games. I hope that you will release newer titles by him as well. There was quite a bit of backlash towards Starless, mainly from people who are not into hardcore Nukige and try to compare it with regular Visual Novels, but that’s not the goal of Nukige. The plot serves the sex scenes, not the other way around. Other games from Sei Shoujo are not as extreme as Starless (Lewdness, Potential Ability) and you could certainly make a fair amount of money by marketing them in a good way. Maybe also licence Bible Black and Discipline again and make them available for legal download. Their anime adaptations are very popular and there are certainly still people out there who would like to know more about the original stories in the Visual Novels.

Next up is Tinkle Bell (not Tinkerbell). Their Punyupuri games are pretty unique since they feature 2.5 D models and fully animated scenes. They are not that long and only have a single route, thus it shouldn’t be too expensive to translate them. I found Rondo Duo to be pretty interesting, even though I barely understand Japanese. It probably has a lot to do with the art style that appeals to me and that the cast primarily consists of girls, with very little rape involved. I don’t know if you can contact the company and persuade them to allow for English releases, but I would really like them to be more succesful. Their staff is very small and it took them a long time to release their latest game because of motivational and budget reasons. There are not that many companies focusing on Yuri / Futa, but I think Tinkle Bell is the best of them.

Another interesting Visual Novel I found is TS Magical Girl Nao by Crooked Navel. It’s a story about a boy being tranformed into a Magical Girl with some comedy elements and RPG battles. The battles themselves are pretty short and easy, and there’s not much depth to it, but I found the art style to be very appealing. I can’t say that much about the story since I only know very little Japanese, but it seems to be a well- made parody of the Magical Girl genre.
