I’m gonna have to go with OLF’s answer here. I’ve spent tens of thousands on eroge over the years - to the point where sometimes I regret it in a “I need a retirement savings” type of mentality. Hasn’t stopped me from expanding my collection though. Plus I’ve traded away too many for me to remember. If it has twincest, then Narg most likely has it or will get it. In the case when he can’t get it, Narg is lamenting like a madman on how he can. My “dark eroge” collection is even more vast - given that its a much larger genre - with a heavy leaning towards titles that contain loligoths, supernatural creatures (vampires, werewolves, succubus, etc), enslavement, and violent tentacle violation.
To be honest, I’m under the 365 mark, with only 288 bishoujo games currently. The little me is ashamed of his tiny collection~

I’ve been rather spending money on wine and restaurants the past couple of years. :oops:
Well… I shouldn’t be too proud of it… I mean if the cops broke down my door with a Warrant for some odd reason, they’d probably think I’m an insane madman after seeing the collection. I’d seriously need to hire a good lawyer - just to keep the jury from thinking I’m a sex deviant - even though I’ve committed no actual crime.
I didn’t get “serious” with eroge until about 1998 or so. On average I plunked about $300 a month on the hobby - although there have been times when I dropped twice that. Since the start of this year, I’ve been cutting back a lot, because I intend to get a house (buyer’s paradise for the Americans that can afford it) in a few months.
I became “serious” in 2001 or so, spending about ¬Ä400-500 a month, but, alas, about 20% in shipping and handling fees and 20.6% of the total (game price + fees) were in Custom fees (meaning I paid about 45% in fees), so only ¬Ä270-350 were actually spent on games.
Being an erogamer outside of Japan is both hard and expensive.
