And Vampire Nighthawk is back in Standard. Not to mention Blood Artist, people are only now starting to realize how huge it can be.
Kick-ass view from the Space Station at night: http://vimeo.com/45878034
You know how they say the Great Wall is the only thing you can see from space? They’re 100% wrong.
Yea. I read about that one time. Supposedly the human eye can’t see it from space… and most likely not even from low orbit (there’s been debate on it):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Wall … m_the_moon
In any case, like that vid shows, aliens would see the city lights before some ancient stone wall. And they’d pick up all our radiating communications on the EM spectrum. But if for some crazy reason they’re not using or never developed EM devices, our planet gives off strange heat signatures too (all the biolife and our technology).
Is there really a difference between the two? Anyone who blindly loves their government, is ignorant of the lies and horrors it commits.
No such thing as a “sinless state”.
But on topic of Onoda: he was a survivalist. Pretty admirable that he fought on for so long. Truly a soldier’s soldier.
Outside of that though… can’t say I like his non-soldier side though. He sticks his nose into politics from time to time, and he’s a very conservative extremist. A very “For the Emperor” kind of guy. Thinks Japan died after the war, and constantly complains that it’s a twisted version of America now… and he means that in a negative way. Then again, for someone to fight for as long as he did, one had to love their country very much… and it’s true: modern Japan is in no shape or form, anything like WW2 Japan.
*EDIT
This talk about WW2 reminds me of Hans-Ulrich Rudel:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans-Ulrich_Rudel
“Rudel flew 2,530 combat missions claiming a total of 2,000 targets destroyed; including 800 vehicles, 519 tanks, 150 artillery pieces, a destroyer, two cruisers, one Soviet battleship, 70 landing craft, 4 armored trains, several bridges and nine aircraft which he shot down.”
Card carrying NAZI, but the guy could turn a plane into a WMD. He survived the war and was not executed for war crimes: he wasn’t involved with the Holocaust - just killing a shit load of other soldiers on the battlefield. He got singular credit for sinking a BATTLESHIP.
All those video games, where you play a lone pilot against an entire invading army? It’s based off his service record.
It’s a very depressing story all around. For the innocent bystanders who were shot, certainly. And for the soldiers as well. I mean, the other soldiers he was with - not the one who left a few years later, but the two who died - they had literally no one else for all that time. How close must they have been after that time? And to find out after they’re already dead that it was true all this time, the war really was over.
No, I can’t say it was very smart. Hell, even one of those four caught on eventually - after so long without any word from the Japanese Army whatsoever (other than the ‘please surrender’ notices they thought were fake) or seeing any soldiers at all, surely something had to be up. But at the same time, I would also have to classify him as a hero. What he did was extremely heroic - it was stupid and harmful at the same time, but that doesn’t somehow negate that.
The ten thouand dollar donation I didn’t know about before.
Minor side note: there’s been a total of three Japanese soldiers who fought well beyond the WW2 surrender.

The island of samurai makes incredible warriors. Good thing they surrendered after the second atomic bomb. If Japan just kept on going, the mainland invasion would have probably been one of the bloodiest battles in human history…
EDIT
Got curious and looked up if Japan didn’t surrender after A-bomb #2, what could have happened.
Evidently there was a possible third bomb (or fourth if you count the first test) in the works. Seems to be conflicting info if there was enough plutonium to assemble it, but the trigger and bomb shell were complete. Third target would have been either Kokura or Niigata. Then if Japan still didn’t surrender (or the third bomb couldn’t be completed in time – the US was trying to beat the USSR), the mainland invasion would have commenced. Had the invasion happened, there’s doubt the US could have conquered the Japanese before the Russians got involved… so we might have had TWO Japans (i.e. like Korea), if they didn’t surrender. Russia would have at least gotten Hokkaido, unless the US started the invasion from there first… which would have cost more lives, since Honshu was the real stronghold of Japan, and given the Japanese more time to fortify it.

Good news! I just have to avoid a car accident for 33 years and I’ll be immortal!
I wonder if this means I’ll be able to fuck a monstergirl, since he mentions hologram bodies.
They Exist!!!
Happy Friendship Day!!!
I was surprised when he did not consider pressing charges. Good food for thought when installing an app like find my Mac or subscribing to some service. Also a wake up call for all the companies and users working on cloud out there.
Nice article nonetheless.
Pretty scary when you think about how strongly a hacking can hit you.
Historic revisionists… they annoy me. Ran into one today and had a nice heated discussion.
To anyone who has ever heard the ridiculous argument that the US Civil War was not about slavery (and only about State Rights), please tell them to explain the Cornerstone Speech. You know, when the VP officially explained what the Confederate Constitution (and thus the war) was about: SLAVERY. Was surprised that someone so enamored by the Confederacy, would be totally in the dark about the most important aspects of it’s foundation. Oh yea… and let’s not forget that the South fired FIRST upon Fort Sumter.
So yea… it was about slavery and the South started the damn war.
Just discovered Baka to Test to Sh?kanj? and the delicious Shouko Kirishima. Yandere have so much love. :o
And then there’s Mizuki Himeji… a perfect example of a happy yandere who repeats the same thing over and over again when she’s fallen into madness.
Episode 4 proves that so long as their respective targets are different, two yandere can achieve perfect teamwork. 8)
Is this an accurate assessment?
Gundam Beam Saber > Lightsaber > Chainsword > Gunblade > Excalibur = Muramasa = Masamune > Katana > Longsword
No.
No
Within a few weeks I might suddenly stop posting around here for about a year. Got a UN translator position for a poverty stricken country (can’t give specifics due to NDA and safety reasons). Really low tech place, and only the UN site has electricity and clean water kind of deal. Pay is insane though (five times for what I currently earn in just 12 months; lots of tax breaks too), and it’s something I doubt I’ll pass over. Anyways, obviously for various reasons, no porn or erotica for the Narg’ster… so no visiting this site or updating mine.
So if I suddenly vanish one day, that’s the reason. Also, who knows… I might find my future twincest slave wives over there.
Good for you. And who knows, some new Nitroplus games might actually be out by the time you get back!
Edit: So what does this do for your project?
Hey that’s great news Narg. All the best.
Maybe, but let’s hope the kids don’t find your eroge collection too  .
A big “CIAO!” from Italy!
