Even though they don't really die, the green frog, the bullfrog and the serving lady who get eaten, then regurgitated later could be really disturbing to the younger set.

And Haku gets a little...odd...while he's still under Yubaba's control in the dragon form. It's nothing too serious, but very young children could get scared, yes.

Ah, the thread has reaced 1000 posts! Rejoice, fellow FWOBIGOLS and bishoujo fans! .

That scene you mentioned could be soemwhat distrubing, ues, but I don't really see it as anything serious ^^;. I showed my two little sisters Mononke Hime, and they weren't so distrubed by that, and if you consider what's in there, especially at the end, and compare that to Spirited Away, then that scene in Spirited Away is not so serious

Whoa, seems like L33t willb ecome a real alnguage soon :

Well, if you insist...

As if your loyal fwobigols would ever deny you anything!

It depends on the kid I guess. My friend had been telling me that a co-worker's kid has been having nightmares every since seeing that movie. (And remember, I still havn't seen it myself, so I wouldn't know for sure what, if anything could have scared the kid.) I just wish parents would stop taking their little 5 and 6 year olds to R-rated movies with violence, gore, sex, and horror scenes that scare the blazes out of me. (Sorry, pet peeve of mine. See, this is exactly why I don't call myself a FWOBIGOLS. (Man, it's so weird using the singular pronoun with a word that naturally ends in s.)

And as for this...I can top this. Easily. I saw a couple in the theatre, with their young'un in tow, sitting down to see 8MM. (Yes, that's Eight Millimeter, the movie about snuff pornography.) He looked to be under ten. I was easily as disturbed by that as I was by the content of the film itself. Probably more, as that is really the only thing I remember about 8MM.

Nandemonai, I think this is what you are doing, so in best interest to everybody here, as well as yourself, I am deleting your post, no offense.

Awwww, I wouldn't call that pushing. Just a small hint that at the current rate, she is going to get the diamond level three before her next update.

Well, how about losing your car in a car crash and thus saving the payments for the insurance?
I just did that last friday and got today notification, the insurunce regards the damage of my car as a total loss, so I have right now to think about buy/not buy a new one...

I've tried that but people keep dodging me.

Just kidding. Sorry to hear about your car Unicorn-san. I guess it'd depend on the situation on getting a new one. In Chicago, I was able to make do without a car since I lived near to work and the public transport system was enough for me to get around to almost anywhere I wanted. (Well, except for this one nightclub I went to with co-workers.) But now in Hawaii, the public transport system isn't setup as well for my needs, plus I start work at 5:30a.m. and I'd hate to think about how early I'd have to wake up to catch a bus to work on time.

I really don't understand some parents. 8MM? That movie to a kid? Shesh...

Ah, "lazy butt". I'm happy I'm not the only person who uses that part of the anatomy in their references. My co-worker was commenting how I'm often using the term "ass", "butt", and "rear" in my speech and I told him that it's because that's where all my thinking occurs...
