Hehe, thanks for the link SCDawg. I just looked at it.
Did I give you a link?
Whoops, I was mistaken. It was ekylo who provided it. Thanks, ekylo.

As if I didn't have enough of an identify crisis as it is...
Just kidding. I knew that the demo had to do with a version of windows, I just thought it was a more recent one. I do remember the numerous jokes that went on after it happened.
Sounds like you had a good trip perigee-san. The Gold Goast next eh? Yup, that's definitely a bit more out of your pocketbook.

I am not sure if I should laugh at that or shake with fear knowing that these people are perhaps helping to shape the future.
Even if they are meant to be serious, which I hope they are not, the first one on the second page is perhaps the one that I am laughing the at hardest, it is one of the scarier ones if this is how the person acutally thinks, but also one of the funnier ones if taken as a joke.

LOL! That’s funny stuff. And a bit scary at the first time. But I did agree with the last post on the first page.
I don’t know about the last one on the first page, I personally agree with a statement I have heard somewhere I cannot remember where someone said “If men ever understood women, or women ever understood men it would mean the end of the world”.
Still the more pages I look at the more I am caught between laughing and crying just like last night.
Let’s see…
quote:
1) Girls are total bitches.
No.
quote:
2) Their appearance affects their attitude (i.e. girls that turn hot turn mean as well).
I agree. Generally, hot girls have abusive attitudes, while less-good-looking girls are generally nicer.
I think this is because of how they are treated by other people based on their appearance.
Hot girls always get treated nicely and given more chances, so most go thinking they have it all and are ‘it’.
Less-good-looking girls don’t get treated so well, so they try to be nice to make up for their looks.
quote:
3) Piss off a girl even a little and they will hate you forever.
Not in my experience. It really depends.
quote:
4) Most girls are illogical.
Hmm, many are, but there are enough that are not.
quote:
5) Girls mostly have interests based on popularity.
Absolutely! Why do they wear high heels even though it hurts? Because they are popular and fashion. Why do they wear such clothes? Because it’s popular. Same with everything they wear.
Things they do, too. Almost all girls smoke. Coincidence? I think not.
quote:
6) Girls don’t search for guys to go out with; the guys have to search for girls to go out with.
Sadly, that’s true. Even in this society of emancipation.
quote:
7) PMS
?
quote:
8) Most girls like badass guys with an IQ of 2.
Sadly, that’s also true. I’ve seen enough examples of this. Most do this until they are age 21, when they realize how wrong they were. Good guys like us don’t have a chance.
quote:
9) Girls have strict morals
Yes, but not the right ones.
quote:
10) Girls have an impact on you financially.
Oh yes. Plenty of jewels, shoes, and clothes. They must have it all, while they will almost never wear them more than once or twice.
Note: this isn’t targeted at anyone. This is what I have seen in my own environment.

Well with the first one I would argue it is partly popularity and partly what is expected of them. Let's face it few guys I know would date even a beauty queen if she was in jeans, sneakers a stained t-shirt and was reeking and covered in oil, as if she just worked on her car, but dress the same woman up in a dress, perfume, non-sneakers, and they would fight to date her.
I base my opinions on those guys I know and girls I know that can go through a crowd without notice and dressed up draw lots of notice.
As to the second are you asking what PMS means?
Well if that is the case it means premenstrual syndrome.
Except for the odour and bad shirt such women would still get noted pretty well. At least over here, it doesn’t matter what she wears, as long as it’s clean and not torn. A jeans and basic shirt and sneakers are fine.

I wasn’t really asking, just pointing out that I didn’t know what it was. But thanks for the explanation anyway.
…But could you clarify a bit more, though? ^_^;
I am fearful that my health classes along with the last one being about 6 years ago now, stopped just short of good defenitions, they seemed more concerned in teaching, at least to the boys in the gender separate classes, the most general information possible. However, according to a web definition it is “a syndrome that occurs in many women from 2 to 14 days before the onset of menstruation”.
It is also a time period that can lead to various effects on the woman to which it is occuring, including rapid shift in a woman’s emoitonal being and continual rapid shifts at times in her emotional responses.
Wow this thread is covering many different ideas.

I was far more disturbed by the “Prophet Muhammed versus Son Goku” post [edit: near] the top of one of the pages I linked to. That was really … really something; it managed to be bizarre whether it’s supposed to be a joke, or not.
And now, for something completely different:
http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/05/31/portugal.pedophile.case/index.html
The thing that strikes me about this news story? This plotline is used by dark b-games a lot. In fact I think G-collections has a game coming out in the near future that uses this exact storyline.

Could you elaborate? I can’t grasp the ‘plot’ of this headline to a bishoujo game one.

A school secretly running a sex trade in their students? I suppose technically it's an orphanage in the article; close enough, they both deal with kids.
So is it life imitating art or art imitating life?
In a strange way I hope it is life imitating art because maybe that means such things are rare and not as widespread as they might be in reality. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors? Who knows if everything that appears innocent is really as innocent as it seems? Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? Well those men I think most of the world knows some of it by now and yeah I know the rest are a paranoid and cynical outlook.
Then again if it is life imitating art people might begin to complain about the art, but they would do that anyway even if it was art imitating life so I guess it’s a no win on that scale and just tragic that it actually happens in real life.

I see, thanks for the explanation. And the game you’re thinking of is Slave Pageant.

I don't know; I doubt very much that the people involved with this had ever had anything to do with these games, they're just too low profile. [Edit: the games are too low profile/uncommon, I mean.]
But either way, I don't think it really matters all that much; the news story is creepy either way.

Yeah; I think also the game Love Potion used this exact plotline. It seems to be one of the stock dark b-game plotlines.
I was terribly underwhelmed by Love Potion; I imagine I still would have been had I, uh, had the version that was voice acted. (This was back in the bad old days before I "got religion" about web downloads, so to speak...)

It may not matter in general, but it matters when people start attack the industry saying something like "if it was not for filth such as these games, these events might not happen". Yeah I know, and (as my grandmother use to say) if, if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.
