Well, flashbacks are more indicative of something like post traumatic stress disorder.
You know, now that I read what I wrote, I'm not sure I understand what I was trying to say either. Sorry, I was trying to write down a complex thought while on one hour of sleep, too much coffee (I'm not normally a coffee drinker in the first place) and cough medicine.
What I was trying to say was that the contents of the flashbacks, which showed various behaviors of his in his youth, did indicate a "conduct disorder" which happens to be a criteria for an antisocial personality disorder diagnosis. (the DSM IV states "Before age fifteen, for 12 months or more the patient repeatedly violated rules, age-appropriate societal norms or the rights of others", usually stated as "conduct disorder" or the childhood version of the antisocial personality disorder) The flashbacks themselves aren't a criteria for personality disorder diagnosis, and as you pointed out, are usually associated with post tramatic stress instead. I don't always reread what I write and then I don't realize where I'm causing some confusion until it's pointed out by someone else.
Of course, reading what I wrote just now may confuse some people but at this point, it's 10 minutes before the end of my day and I don't want to think too hard trying to make it clearer. I just want to file my daily status report and spend the rest of the time trying to remember where I parked my car...
