Since, I own the game already. I can tell you that the translation was WAY better than MG’s previous games. A few errors here and there but that is to be expected. As for the bugs, I never ran into any at all. To be quite honest I am still curious as to why they removed it from the MG website… considering I didn’t stumble onto anything of the sort.
The only game of theirs that i’v seen with a bug is ‘My sex Slave is a classmate’
Theirs 1 CG and 1 scene that wont unlock.
The CG is in the game files but it wont appear when it should
Also just like APC, theirs a scene you can see but it wont register in your scene menu.
Oh well, since I’ve just discovered the wonderful world of fan translations, it’s not like I’m short of VN to play. I just wonder why they felt necessary to delay again a game that apparently has no problem at all.
I must say - and I will be contradicting my previous statements about release dates - that I’m a tiny bit pissed about this delay. I was getting prepared to order the damned thing, dug up my credit card, emptied my ashtray, got a can of Coke from the fridge and sunk myself in the sofa, deciding to browse the web from my laptop until the game was released. And then the news about the delay hit me. All those carefully planned preparations were for nothing! They could have announced the delay yesterday and I wouldn’t mind at all. It was very annoying that they waited for the very last day to do so…
I’m not too pissed because I just ordered Princess Waltz (and 3 other VN) so I’m not in a hurry for now…
Furthermore, with all the problems there are with mg, I prefer to wait a few days before downloading DC… just to be sure there aren’t any “new” problems.
Excuse? You were expecting an excuse? Real game companies don’t make excuses for anything! It’s simple. When the game is supposed to be available, just don’t release it. Don’t issue a press release, or even post an announcement; just change the release date down on the product information page. You only want truly dedicated fans to know your precious information. Otherwise people might know what you’re doing, and you don’t want that.
Sheesh. At least with the delay on the 25th they said it was delayed and announced it was due to “missing or incomplete data”.
Typical of MG. At least PP has never been this way. If it’s delayed they keep us informed. i’m going to be a bit upset if there is something else that I missed for being an early buyer.
JAST USA games slip from the estimated release windows all the time (i.e. late 2007, summer 2008, etc. In fact, every game released this year was originally estimated for 2007). In that respect, titles like Princess Waltz and Family Project have each been quietly delayed by over a year.
The distinction is that MangaGamer keeps announcing specific dates (i.e. August 31, 2008 or Dec. 25, 2008), whereas JAST USA provides vague estimates until they’re certain they can hit an exact date.
IIRC, Hirameki International and Media Blasters releases were also plagued by numerous delays, so it’s the norm within this market.
Ahhh, I didn’t know then. But, then again I don’t really keep an eye on release date. I just figured that PP never did it since as I said my memory is bad. ><
