It’s a little different when you talk about cable channels. They usually go above and beyond regular network television, which I think is the frame of reference we were actually talking about.
An example of the difference between network and cable can be seen when they bring a show over like Sex in the City. I think one of the ‘Big Three’ NBC, CBS or ABC is going to air it, but massively edited quite obviously. You see an episode on it’s cable station and then see the edited episode on it’s network station and quite possible not know it is the same episode, that is sometimes how much they will edit. There is a massive difference between the two causing friction at times.

When did the Anime Network start? I just heard about it a month or so ago, and now find it hard to see if there are many areas that even carry it yet, is it that new?
Whoa do they really have a Bishoujo Channel? Well as for the animenetwork I heard about it like 4 or 3 months ago in Newtype Magazine and I checked out the website, some of the shows look pretty cool, like Rahxephon, Golden Boy, Bubblegum Crisis and stuff like that.

It was about a year ago. Started in baltimore or something like that. Which is wierd since ADV launched the channel and they're based in Houston figured they do Texas first, guess more anime fans in baltimore [img]http://princess.cybrmall.net/ubb/wink.gif[/img]

Yeah I think I do too, but it is more the chance to see ones I might not even normally think of or hear of that would be nice to have with that channel. Though are these the original versions or the 'edited' ones?
Most of the anime is from ADV’s catalog so it will be the unedited stuff. Too bad they aren’t showing them subbed
