Has furry. Do not want.
Though seriously… I’m rather upset that Errant Heart did not do better. Yes, he reached the goal, but considering how much the Megatokyo fundraiser got, it leaves a bad aftertaste. The crew doing Errant Heart have connections with the anime industry. They once posted…
Granted, it’s better for a VN to have no voice acting if the alternative is bad voice acting, but Pseudom√© Studio might have been able to pull it off. Ah well… no matter… they’re still moving along and have some great background CG’s. I’m expecting this to be the best VN that Kickstarter has funded so far.
I backed this one, maybe some of you might like it.

They even have a demo…
was going to back it before I saw it was a SIM…
let that particular genre die already, please
Unlikely. Sims sell better.
At least, that’s the perceived wisdom among the English indies. Admittedly we’re few enough that our data is not statistically significant, so it can be flukey, but as it is… that’s where the money goes. Of course, if you’re doing a kickstarter, you COULD kickstart for what you actually want to do rather than what the market buys most. (If you ever see me running a kickstarter, it’ll be for that yuri VN I want to do, because I’m worried it won’t sell enough straight.)
the demo contains music from the original Starcraft (not covers of, but tracks from the actual OST) and I don’t think they’re allowed to do that!
This looks like a good one:
My Little Dictator: A Battle-Visual Novel
Hetalia with girls and more politically incorrect (he’s got the balls to make Hitler a kawaii-ko).
Creator claims the VN part of it is finished. He needs the money to make it look professional (artwork, music, etc), and has a Katawa Shoujo artist on call.
Cliche idea… nothing of it seems original really… but sounds cute and fun.
EDIT
Here’s another good looking project:
They’re already funded (300% at the time of this post), but another solid looking indie VN.
More “cookie cutter” plot stuff (spaceships, mecha, and cute girl pilots), but very nice all things considered.
IIRC Samu-kun is a reasonably solid writer, too (as far as the english VN/eroge scene goes), so I’m reasonably hopeful. DarkFusion already linked that project though =P
I just saw his recent QA update on the game, and have to admit he’s impressed me. The way he addresses concerns about improvements and alterations is professional. It’s obvious the game is out of development in well into production, given that character/plot/branch/etc elements are locked into place and unlikely to change. Though some might see disappointment in that, it gives me confidence that he knows exactly what he’s doing.
Compare with MegaTokyo: Piro started the fund raiser without even clearing the conceptual phase.

Not quite sure if adventure games count as VNs, but considering this is being made by the creators of Snatcher, which is apparently counted as a VN by VNDB, I figured this would be worth pointing out.
Important: Kickstarter was successfully hacked.

EDIT:
On the brighter side of things, there’s an Otome game looking for funding: Seduce Me
Just came across this kickstarter for an otome game called The Guardian’s Spell:
Just came across this new kickstarter for a Sci-fi VN:
Came across this kickstarter for a VN based on some webcomic called Starfighter.
