I do a search for ‘Hentai game’ and it turns up 5 titles. What’s up? They’re not even the games, they’re like Tshirts or figures. Was there some kind of crackdown that I was unaware of?

i remember at Fry’s Electronics where i used to work a similar thing happened, they didnt know for years what ‘hentai’ meant and just kept the dvd’s mixed in with the normal anime, La Blue Girl right next to Pokemon (alphabetical orderings) then some unwitting parent bought one for his kid… so now its in a special section inbetween the anime and porn heh

Probably. While the mature audience section didn’t have that many items listed, at least the search returned actual games. I was kinda wondering when they would notice that a lot of that stuff shouldn’t be in the general areas.

Theres like over 10k adult things on yahoo auction but if you search for like porn you will get like 10 misc results and nothing else
Searches don’t give the pronographic results a lot of the time
Like on yahoo auctions japan, you can’t search for a specific hentai doujin your looking for, you’ll just get like non hentai fan novals or toys of the series, not any of the hentai

Yeah, it seems like eBay has been hunting down listings containing word ‘hentai’ because last week when I searched for listings, it was over 1,000 listings while now it’s below 100…
You can tell that by lots of doujinshi sellers now list their items as '(I won’t say it here in fear of some eBay people might see it ^^ ’ instead of ‘hentai doujinshi’… I believe this trend will follow on other hentai items as well.
And yes, I totally agree about what other people say about eBay, they are one greedy SoB… They say they increase fees to further serve us better but try to find a link to ask a simple question, it will take you forever ~_~
I recently discovered that eBay are shutting a number of links out from non-“adult verified” members. Some things listed as “very suggestive” (or Japanese synonyms) are still around, but a number say “you can’t see this until you confirm you’re an adult”.
And guess what? If you don’t live in the USA (which is obviously the centre of the world as far as they’re concerned), you can’t confirm that you’re an adult. Quite literally. If your user profile lists your country as even the UK, they say “We do not support Adult Verification for International members at this time”.

Oh speaking of eBay, if someone is interested in soundtracks, artbooks, and anime whatnot, I moved a whole bunch onto the auction block, there's a possibility I will be moving so this stuff just got to go. I just hate the amount of bootleg stuff there though, it means I'd be lucky to get 2 dollars on some DVDs.

I wish someone would make a proper auction site just for anime/hentai (I’ve seen an adult auction site tried once or twice, but it was always flooded with obviously-crap listings and no sellers).
