What kind of Bishojo Games you like?

Will for me I like the RPG turn base styles. For example Dragon Knight 4. Will I like turn base styles because you use your brain and they taste you on what is your ability. Also, I like the Visual Novel games. For example, The Little My Maide, Tokimeki-Check In, and so on. Fot the Action games I like the Eve Bust Error, and Critical Point. How about you guys?

Well… hard to decide, since I enjoy almost every kind of bishoujo games . But… hmm… Well, I like SIM’s, RPG’s, the multi-path-multi-ending kind of games and some else too… but i don’t enyouy the “only-one path” kind of Bishoujo games, like Fatal Relations… I don’t think I’d enyou the card-game kind of bishoujogames either, nor the mahjong type of bishoujo games nor the writting kind of bishoujog maes, if you know what I mean ^^;;. but other than these, I like almost any kind of bishoujo game, as long as it has a good story or some interesting elements in it (like the rumored item-building system in Beautiful Princess or the multi-sight option in Dokusen, Spiral Corridor 2 or Water Closet).

At the moment, having only played Snow Drop, I do not currently have a large knowledge of the various kinds of bishoujo games. I did greatly enjoy Snow Drop, but I don’t know what to classify that as. I assumed that all bishoujo games were like dating sims that I had read about, but after seeing Brave Soul, this clearly is not the case. I’m anticipating many of the upcoming Peach Princess releases (including Brave Soul), but Little My Maid most of all. So, although I don’t quite know exactly what styles each of those games are, those are the kind that appeal to me.

I would say that the dating sims are my favourite type of bishoujo game, but there just aren’t enough of them around on the English market yet. True Love was awsome and it would be cool to see similar games with high colour graphics, voices and more complex gameplay. I like the visual novel games too, especially Tokimeki Check-In, Divi Dead and Desire. Let’s get the current games selling better so Peach Princess can continue translating more games!

Hmm, you’re new to the bishoujo gmae genre, Zebra? Then I’d suggest that you visit three sites to get soem knowledge about bishoujo games (you can always ask us others if there’s something that the webpages can’t answeer)…

First, there’s LadyPhoneix site about english bishoujo games, where you can read a little about the current situation of bishoujo games as well as some other important facts: http://engbishoujo.tripod.com/

Second, there’s Yoshi’s article called “the History of Bishoujo games” that can tell you much about how this genre was created and how it has matured since it was created twenty years ago: http://www.freetype.net/bishoujo/features/galgame/

And third, I’d suggest that you visit Gamelex GS, they reviews a lot of Japanese games, through they’re only able to review a handful of the then thousands of adult bishoujo games in japan, but this will give you a “sample” of what the bishoujo game genre in Japan can offer that the english market can’t offer yet: http://www.gamelexgs.com/index2.htm

Edit:
By the way, I’d again really suggest that you go to Gamelex GS, since they can tell you about quite alot of interesting bishoujo game titles - I’m very intereted in many of the gmaes they’ve reviewed, and nearly every time they updates their pages, I becomes interesyed in anew game… This week, for example I became interested in the adult bishoujo game Phantom - from what they tells about the game on GamelexGs, it’s a lot like the film Nikita or the game Hitman: Codename 47. In that game, you’re unfortunate enough to see something you shouldn’t have seen, but inste4qd of being killed, you’re recruitev by force by a secret organisation, brainwashed and ythen trained into an expert assasin by a mysterious girl… still, later you begins to regain your memory nad tries to get the girl to regain her memory as well, but you’re unsuccessful… Then, something happens; the guy who trained the girl in the first place plots to destroy the orgainisation, so he kidnapps the girl and flees to use her to destroy the organisation… and you’re ordered by the organistion to kill both of them. What will you do from there and on?

Hmm one strange thing with this game is that it seems to have english subtitles, from what you can se here (well, it IS a DVD-rom game, after all): http://www.digiturbo.co.jp/phantom_dvd/system_06.html

Any questions? O)

Will you looking for the bishojo games, you can visit at http://www.himeya.com you can find lot of Japanese Bishojo Games. Will I have some Jpanese games, and I have one tiltled called Castle Phantasia (Seima-taisen). This game are so cool.

I’d like to thank everyone for al the help. ^^ I’m reading it as I have time.

I enjoyed Snow Drop greatly, and today I ordered Tokimeki Check-In. After I play that, I’ll probably have a better understanding of the difference between a visual novel and an AVG. Also, what separates a SIM from an AVG? Is Little My Maid a SIM, because then I think I understand the difference a bit better.

I did want to get X-Change, but… I’ve read recent material about it on this forum and decided to wait a bit. I still want to get it, but I do understand the whole business situation and want to support the industry, plus Tokimeki DOES have 10 girls and 13 endings. I can put off the idea of playing a girl for that, and after Snow Drop I’m kinda spoiled on character voices (mmmm… Keika…).

So, anyway, I’m looking forward to Critical Point. Space sci-fi isn’t exactly my FAVORITE genre, but I don’t dislike it either, and the game looks really good. Little My Maid… well that’s hopefully going to be the high point of my computer gaming this year. ^^ Anyone got any opinions on Gibo? (I can probably start a new topic on this, as I’m getting too far off this thread’s topic. I’m just new, and I don’t really get to talk about these games anywhere else, so I’m a bit eager.)

So, thanks again everyone, I look forward to speaking with you in the future.

Just a quick correction, Tokimeki has 17 endings

I'm definitely looking forward to Little My Maid too, and Brave Soul, I didn't really like the playable demo of Brave Soul but I can see the full game being so awsome, I don't really think that the playable demo represents the game very well (Probably why Peach Princess doesn't host it for download on this site).

Yeagh, Little My Maide will be goos game because you will have 11 different endings.

Will about the X-change is good game but, they don't support voices, but X-Change 2 will have voices on it.

Will Critical Point game will be good game because it is like "Eve Bust Error".

Well, in all objectivity, my fav. genre would be RPGs, ADV and Visual Novels, but I tend to rather play ADV and VN and avoid RPGs, just because of time constraints… Though, it’s also because VN and ADV tend to have better stories than RPGs…
With all the bishojo games I have to finish, the fastest I play one, the more of them I can play! (also, there’s the fact I like to play them at my own pace to better enjoy them… )

I prefere one-path-adventure games,like Desire or EBE.

Freetype isn 't that old yet is it ? But I really enjoyed reading the article, I will give the url to people who are considering bishojo games as objectionable.

I jsut went to the Himeya web sites and look for the Bishojo games for the RPGs and I saw few good game for it. It is pretty interseted to me. If i get money I will get for sure. Or maybe I will wait for the Tax Return.

I like some Bishojo fighting games like Advanced V.G., Asuku 120%.
Bishojo Adventure games like Tokimeki Check-In, X-Change.
Bishojo RPG games… hard to tell

I also like dating simulation games like Tokimeki Memorial 1-3, Sentimental Graffiti 1-2 (soon 3), Sakura Taisen 1-4, True Love, others.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure SG and ST would be classified as SIMs. I'd say SGs are AVG, while ST would be "Strategic + AVG"...

Romance and RPGs for me . Don’t really like the S&Ms . I just buy them to support the industry and my never ending curiosity .

Will maybe in the this week I might get a Shinobi, and Ultimate Hunter Bishojo Games because this are based on RPGs. I 'm the fun of the RPGs.

I just order the Princess Knights and Ultimate Hunter because I like RPGs. Also, maybe this game is huge. Will If I played and I will post the some advice about the game. Anyway, GO BISHOJO GAMES. !!!

I like Ranma/Futaba-styled games, ie x-change and x-change 2, which I’m just going to order through Crowd, and translate myself for myself (yes I can do that ). Personally, I don’t care if the voices are in japanese, I’ve watched subtitled videos haven’t you?
