Actually, i forgot to write the translation and what i meant with it...
well, as dark shiki said, Mona (in this case) means a Female monkey...
This means that even when you make simething a little different (PP LE games), just because you change the cover and little things like that, it will remain as a common edition, nothing special...

BTW: Not everywhere MONA means 'Beautyfull looking lady', its just used in some places...
In Argentina, for example, its pretty weird that u hear somebody using that word...

Yes, but the Italian (Venetian) sense is much more interesting [img]http://princess.cybrmall.net/ubb/wink.gif[/img], and it has a long and glorious history [img]http://princess.cybrmall.net/ubb/redface.gif[/img] [img]http://princess.cybrmall.net/ubb/biggrin.gif[/img] (look here for an example).

Eh, that wouldn't be a real draw to most people, myself included. Unless it's an interview with someone like Nasu Kinoko or something, then I'm not really all that interested in seeing those as limited edition-worthy items.

Plus, that's the kind of thing that you can just print in the back of an instruction booklet. That's how many companies like Atlus and Nippon Ichi do it. ^_^;;


To tell the truth, if I wanted to see a magazine interview with a bishoujo game creator, I'd just go and buy an issue of Dengeki G's or tech gian. ^_^;;

He said that's what some anime series have done. The shotglass was, I believe, from Witch Hunter Robin.

Y’know, on further reflection, everyone’s probably right- it is a bit silly at that. Plus there’s always the possible controversy about “pornographic games trying to promote alcoholism” (Yeah, it’s something I could just see headlining in some tabloid newsrag). Of course, Bandai did try to cover its butt over the WHR shotglass by claiming that it was a “beverage” glass…

Still, the fact that they could make them leads me to believe that somewhere down the line, having these custom-made beverage glasses might not be such a costly venture.

Hmm, on second thought, if Peach Princess was ever to translate a yaoi-type BL game, then the shotglass/beverage-glass might be a wee bit more appropriate?

Erm, getting back on track, some other things that I’ve seen/heard of being used as promotional items for anime have included pencilboards (they’re ostensibly for putting in between paper sheets so that you don’t end up putting pencilmarks or impressions on the next page). To me personally, since I’d never would use them for that expressed purpose, they’d be more like giant-sized artcards that could fit quite nicely inside of a standard DVD case- with enough room left over for a manual, even.

Another cheap, yet feasible possibility might be cut-out paper dolls (thanks to the discussion on this board that mentioned the KISS program). Another similar thing might be the “cardboard” stand-up, which is a cut-out paper doll that can be assembled to “stand” on it’s own. The only drawback to that is that I’ve only seen it pulled off with oversized Japanese anime-magazines that tend to be of larger size than your standard newsstand magazine (Megami comes to mind).

Last, but not least, I’ve also thought of another premium that was offered in a limited edition R1 anime- the sports towel (they’ve also released a bandana as well, but they’re not as much fun to rag on). Needless to say, I’m sure that the more perversely creative-minded would find some rather, ah, unsavory use for such an extra… heh.

As long as you’ve got the actual computer part safely out of the way, eating and drinking at your seat isn’t that big a deal. Pouring a drink onto your keyboard is annoying, but keyboards can be disassembled and cleaned, or replaced without much trouble if you somehow manage to fry it.

My actual computer is in much more danger from my feet than my cup.

Anyway, I think tiny glasses would be amusing… ‘Stick your tongue in me!’
