The yaoi games that are in our most recent printed game catalog are posted to J-List, and will be up on the other sites soon, too. I know that the two yaoi titles aren’t likely to be best-sellers with this crowd, however the games are quite innovative, and I hope whoever is in a position to give them a try will pick them up.
Hrm. I don’t think I’ll be looking at the first one much (something about the thought of Miserable Historical Prison Rape puts me off - and I don’t dig the art) but the second one is… interesting.
First blurb needs more proofreading:

And for the second game, why are there five targets listed for Kia and only two for Louise? (Why wasn’t that translated ‘Luis’? Which is still pronounced Louise (or it was on the hispanic guy I knew) but is less confusing genderwise. )
While I’m curious about the second title, I suspect this isn’t the right audience to ask for reviews.

The games’ premises don’t really interest me. And of course it’s yaoi, too. Hope the yaoi fangirls like it, though.
Not really my thing, but I have to admit the storylines look really good.
Pity there are no female/female games… sigh (Just my thing… lol and no X-Change doesn’t count!!!).
To stay on topic, I have to ask if others are planned? While these two don’t appeal to me I won’t say it wouldn’t be impossible that I’d never buy and try one, provided I found a storyline that really appealed to me.

Definitely still hoping for good girl-love action someday… if Top Secret Project (of mine) gets done there will be a shoujo-ai path - explicitly shoujo-ai instead of just ‘friendship’, but not explicitly yuri.

Glad to see new things, even if they don’t interest me. Incidentally, Peter, are any Yuri games being looked at? I know yaoi is a big thing, see it all over in fan fiction and stuff, but I know quite a few people who would probably really enjoy a nice girl/girl romp!
I’d really enjoy seeing anything yuri, truthfully. Whether it was a sex romp, or a girls falling in love romantic thing.
We’re still waiting for Yuri to coalesce as a genre. There are very few all Yuri manga released in Japan, for example, and I can’t think of any doujinshi circles that we know of that do all girl/girl. I am totally interested in Yuri though.

As a female who is a b-game fan, I’m glad to see that at least there is an attempt to reach us as an audience. I must, however, say that it’s kinda too bad the attempt is yaoi in nature. I’m a woman, true, but men + men does not interest me in the least.
Maybe if you want to reach the female demographic in a more universal way, try out some games where you’re a female character with a bevy of hot guys at your disposal. I think that would be a lot of fun, and more interesting than yaoi. While I’m not against homosexual relationships, I think that heterosexual ones (for me, anyway) are a thousand times more interesting, so why can’t we gals have fun chasing the boys, too?
Of course, I think a game like that will come around sometime after hell freezes over. One can always hope, though. ^^

A while back, Koei expressed interest in translating one of their female-targeted games. There was at least one petition for it.
Doesn’t seem like it worked, though.
OMGAWD! Yaoi games! Been looking forever for those. (I love yaoi, obviously. And yesh, I’m a yaoi fangirl. Hehe.)

Well, aorund 2003-2004, I posted on the Japanese BBS of Langmaor, making a request that they translate Enzai for the American public, now, I it finally will be translated and coming to America! I am so happy! Finally, Yaoi Video Games! someone, pinch me, I am so happy! giggles Now if only the Enzai Anime will come to the US… ;_; We really need a market for Yaoi… But that is just my opinion.

Damn I’ve been calling Yaoi YOWIE ever since I saw the Johnny Turbo story.
But how did Peach Princess get Yaoi titles in their midsts? Weren’t there better titles out there? Like more catgirl themese? Bunny girls? Another Gloria? Another Private nurse like game? The Y club? Since yaoi is coming out I want equality and yuri should come soon >_>
I own the japanese version of Enzai, which also happens to be one of my favorite yaoi videogames due to its dark, kafkian athmospheres. Now I will be curious to see if the english version will be the same. (As I have already noticed a change in the characters’ages… Oh well that’s american law.) I’m especially curious to hear how Belbet’s speeches are translated, since they sounded so crazy to me that many times I have been wondering if it simply was my translation’s mistake.
What disappoints me, though, is that I see no plan of Teikokusensenki being translated into english. How so? I would like to make my non-japanese speaking friends play that videogame, and I even know some males who will play the censored version of the game (that is, without the Senya no Yume add-on disc) because they seemed quite interested at the ideas of battles and such. Is Langmaor thinking we people in USA and Europe only want free porny from the BL videogames?
Well, they have to pick something to start with as a market test… they can’t just translate and release their entire collection at once. I think all future release plans probably depend on what response they get with this beginning…

Also, I noticed another thing. This times it's about Zettai. I see that Anel and Eduard don't appear in the english version, certainly due to legal questions. Does it mean that those who play the english-ban of the game won't be able to see Louise having sex with a 12-year-old boy or Kia enjoying his time with a very catholic young one? That surely is a loss to the "perverted&politically uncorrect" feeling of the videogame. So, will those characters be missing?
