Yumina Bug Report & Patch Thread - Patch Updated 10/4/13

Please post all bug reports in this thread. If you experience a crash or receive an error message, please include your Yumina.log file.

Click here to download the current patch. This patch is for PACKAGE AND DOWNLOAD VERSIONS.
To install, extract the archive into your Yumina folder, overwriting all files when prompted.

  • Battle scripts can now display four lines of text as intended. This resolves the “Glint in the Dark” crash.

I’m not sure if this counts as material that belongs here but I noticed something that is incorrect in-game… I suspect it is in the Japanese version too though!

If you pay attention to the spell’s description, it states that it lowers logic and spiritual defenses. Yet the status table thing on the right indicates it lowers their logic and spiritual ATTACK. I have no clue which is correct since I can’t find any way to see status ailments on my party or whatever but they can’t both be right in this case =P.

Edit: some typos that ive noticed:
If you look at the monster description for garudas, it mentions how they are “stringer” than other birds, not stronger.

The description for important class bag expansion items say they increase your bag size BY xx, when they in fact increase it TO xx.

I’m having an issue with turning in a quest called ‘The New Alloy.’ Every time I turn it in, the game crashes and gives me this message:

Sorry about the double post, I’d delete the other thread if I could find an option for it. It took a while for the post to go through so I made a second post thinking the first didn’t work.

My yumina crashes sometimes whenever I use the screen mode button and/or alt tab to and from the game in fullscreen mode. Would it be helpful for me to send a log for that as well?

So far I’ve never had it crash by alt-entering it instead of using the screen mode button.

Also, the auto text button does nothing for me on my 2nd playthru, is that normal? Kinda sucks that I have to manually skip stuff I’ve read before since the skip is so fast I sometimes skip past new stuff too doing so.

adaira, please download this and replace the existing file in DATA. Be sure to back up the old one. Let me know if it fixes the problem.

Under Windows 7 I have fixed (most) of the alt-tab crashes by checking ‘Disable desktop composition’ and ‘Disable display scaling on high DPI settings’ in the right click Yumina shortcut > compatability menu. It hasn’t fixed it all the time but it has fixed several issues that caused a 100% CTD for me such as alt-tabbing on the main menu and in battle.

Minor, sort of Yumina related question:

Are there plans to translate Gin no Toki no Corona too or is it a ‘see if sales do well’ thing?

The descriptions for ‘Max Heart All’ and ‘Max Heart One’ are switched. Max Heart All says it only affects one when it affects the whole party, and Max Heart One says it affects the whole party when it only affects one.

In the abilities screen, a lot of the skills are misnamed in the mouse-over descriptions:

‘Wedge of Forgetfulness’ permits the use of ‘Primal Order’, not ‘Oblivion Wedge.’ As far as I can tell, there isn’t a skill called Oblivion Wedge in the game.
‘Elimination’ permits the use of ‘Null Silencer’, not ‘Clean Fall.’ There isn’t a skill called Clean Fall, again, as far as I can tell.
‘True Heart’ permits the use of ‘Revival’, not ‘Recovery Alone’. There is a skill called Recovery Alone, but ‘Sympathy’ is what unlocks that skill.

The quest ‘Time for a New Pet’ doesn’t grant quest credit for the Kongamato Dos even after killing one multiple times.

Patch updated with fixes for the New Alloy quest plus the typos and description errors mentioned above. Still working on the Kongamato Dos issue.

I’m not sure if this is legitimately bugged or if the spawn is just rare. For the quest ‘The Galchimera’ you need to kill a ‘Kuogalm Chimera’ in Mizelt Tomb. A bunch of blue orbs will spawn from floors ~71-80 and you’ll fight either a regular Galm Chimera or a ‘K. Chimera’ …which I assume is what the quest is asking you to kill, but you don’t get any credit even after defeating it. There might be a third ‘Kuogalm Chimera’ encounter from the blue orbs but I haven’t found it.

Time for a New Pet - Kongamato Dos kill does not register

Balance of Luck - Vague quest description. Problem seem to be inherited from JP version where no one has a clear idea how to do the quest.

Bug:

New patch should fix Kuogalm and Kongamato quests. Please let me know if there’s a problem. We’re still working on the rest.

Also not exactly a bug: but is it possible to slow down the “Aftermath” text in the Conclusion Arc? They carry a lot of info and scrolls by too fast and there is no autosave before the scrolling wall of text.
Due to how the engine works, the scrolling is not paused when the window loses focus. I had to essentially capture a ton of screenshots in order to read the whole thing.

Lately, I’ve been having crashing troubles after running into certain treasure distortions giving me the hr80004005 error and closing the game. I was in the Path of Cracks on floors between 11-20. I’ve collected 3-5 other treasure distortions on the same floor before I ran into the bugged treasure, so maybe it is a problem with certain items? I haven’t got this problem till now. Please look into it.
