They’re otome, but they’re also non-hentai, so there’s no worry about seeing something that you don’t wanna see. :wink:

I’m told that Asaki is very good, and a rough English review can be found here. On 2chan the music and artwork were highly praised, as well as possessing a complex plot that requires seeing all the scenario to fully grasp what’s going on (this was stated in a positive manner). Someone told me that I didn’t have to like otome games, so long as I was open to the idea of playing a female lead seeking out a boy… and honestly that’s not a big deal to me, seeing how I’ve played female leads in extreme eroge quite a lot: Gun-Katana and EXTRAVAGANZA for example . In the least, it has a beautiful OP song and sequence. I’ve seriously considered playing it… just haven’t found any time in doing so.

However Souten is not seen in a positive light. At best the comments I’ve seen for it are often “average” and “not what I was hoping for” - so I’d think it’s best to pass that one.

New stuff for Cthulu: Two new characters revealed, a woman with bandages on the left side of her face (another Mashiro? Well if so at least this one looks better) and a girl with a long braid.

There’s also something that shows some extra stuff in the special section like the phone cards and also a calendar (I think) that has a picture of Gore and Yuka of GSS.

Another update on Cthulu. They added a new CG to the gallery and a couple of things in the special section.It seems there may be some kind of crossover bonus called Cthulu x Mugen Kairou 2 and we see Makoto’s phone card.

If the soundtrack is what’s on the demo, that OST is garbage. Putting that aside: I’ve always wondered if Mugen Kairou actually takes place within the main BCyc Universe or not, and it seems like we’ll finally get an official answer. :o

Another Cthulu update. Product info for one. Two new characters, a tanned loli (makes me want this game even more :twisted: ) and a woman in a black dress and coat…(goes back to looking at tanned loli). Also a CG for Anjie which could confirm my initial thoughts on her. They also have a poll for which character you’re most looking forward to called Great Old One’s Cup (what would a trophy from their world look like?). I’m sure we all know who Narg’s going to vote for :mrgreen:

As well as the odd casting choices, it’s a bit disappointing that they aren’t using any (imo at least) top-tier seiyuu. Miru, Isshiki Hikaru, Kazane, Hokuto Minami, Aoba Ringo etc. have all worked for Cyc before (and some would be perfect for Cthulhu) but no sign of any of them here.

Cthulhu update, but no new CGs that they haven’t already shown elsewhere.

For those who couldn’t get enough of Magical Moerin… Rainbow Cyc is making a full price version of it. (more information on getchu, including some sample CGs.) The two listed scenario writers don’t seem particularly strong (and one of the others is almost certainly Banya Izumi, as his homepage mentions that he’s working on an unnamed full price Mahoushoujo title), but if the plan as uninteresting as it sounds, I think the game will be pretty bad regardless. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Also forgot to mention that all of Black Cyc’s titles, including Mugen Kairou 2 are now up for dl sales on gyutto, and they’re starting to add the White Cyc ones as well. I’d question the benefit of making very recent titles available for dl sales, but at the very least, I’m also not sure why they’re only selling them on one site - they’re missing out on a lot of potential customers that way.

Most likely a fan made clean up. On the other hand, from the looks of development material featured in the omake part of the Mana & Mayu expansion, there’s a couple “finished” uncensored CG’s for MinDeaD BlooD. How much of it is like that, wasn’t explained.

It’s not illegal to produce uncensored sex in Japan: just illegal to publicly distribute it. Can only have it in the privacy of one’s home/studio/office/collection/etc.

Yes I am aware how powerful Gore can be, but bear in mind a revenge obsessed drifter whose only weapons, aside from smarts and experience, are a gun and a magic pebble give these two trouble

Well, we’ve finally gotten another update for Cthulu worth mentioning. We finally get to see the opening which I have to say is pretty good music wise, it’s not the best of Black Cyc’s opening themes (the ones I’ve seen anyway), but still good (better than Extravaganza’s opening theme in my opinion). Still the opening movie looks so familiar, I could swear that I’ve seen it somewhere before…

Another update to Cthulu, now we get a look at three of the “creature” things for three of the characters. Our MC’s, which we kinda already saw glimpses of, Tanpapa’s, and the dog’s.

Interestingly all three have something to do with with a stone/jewel of some sort, which could possibly connect them with Gore of GSS since he also had a connection of some sort to one.

Something else I noticed is at first glance these guys have shorter names compared to Gore Screaming Show and Blood Eleven but then noticed all three have single syllable names. Now if you were to use the first part of the names of the two guys we’re familiar with in english “Gore” rather than “Goa” and “Blood” rather than “Burado”, the names are single syllable. Not sure if it means anything, but it was something to notice.

If you’re talking about the graveyard effect, it appears in a lot more OPs than that, and DDC was nowhere near the first to use it. Alicematic, G-Senjou no Maou and Comyu (insert) also used it, and there’s probably more I’m forgetting / haven’t seen. I’m amazed those birds didn’t make an appearance too =P

Random observation… but does anyone else find it odd, not a single BCyc eroge has ever been adapted to an OVA?

I mean yea… an OVA adaption would be shitty as hell (they almost always are) - but eroge less popular than BCyc’s has seen anime… some more than once. Also BCyc isn’t above cow milking (just look what happened to Yami no Koe). So it leads me to think that B-Eye or BCyc rejects offers for reasons they don’t explain.

However IF a BCyc property was going to be made into a 3 part, 30 minute each (thus 1 hour 30 minute total) OVA series… which one would work best?
