Demonbane summer 2010 release

So any info on the Download edition?

I’ll probably just be ignored since that’s how JAST’s customer service works, but it’s worth a try ;p

No offense, but you deserve to be ignored. It has been stated many times it will take a week or maybe even longer after the physical copies to ship for a download edition to be released. No need to take a shot at them when the information has been available to you unless “you was trollin”

Nearly here. I’d prefer it be late into the week of the 9th because I’d be busy that week anyways as I am now.

I’m for it being “Azifu Month.” I have no plans to rush through this game in a week or anything.

Week won’t cut it, with delays and different shipping arrivals everywhere. Month it is.

Got the J-List mail in explaining the situation again.
So if it ships next, it’ll still take one or two weeks to get here…

Say, could we include June?

I know this may sound off-topic, but how long does it usually take for a bank to process a refund? You know, after the whole cancellation fiasco.

most banks take like a 3-5 days for electronic funds to get there
i hope it gets ready soon i am waiting to get my demonbane fix

There is a lot of irritation at how long Demonbane has taken to come out with the delays during the localization process; on both sides.

But… now that we’re finally on the verge of release, it’s time to look away from the creators and at the created…

==Have you saved Al Azif yet? Pay for her safety today! Or we’ll keep her … forever …==

"Take my hand! … Don’t leave me… alone … "
(seriously, it feels like you should reach out doesn’t it?)

This is the first Nitro+USA game. If it sells well maybe we’ll get Gekkou no Carnevale or “Hello, World.”… or Sumaga, or Stein’s Gate or Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa!! (not to mention Saya no Uta and Chaos;Head)
I think the only way we can really surprise them with good sales is by getting fans to advertise to other people who might possibly be interested, besides the normal crowd.
Normal advertisements will lead to normal sales… There’s gotta be more fans out there than the dedicated few who visit the forum and are already customers…

If Demonbane turns out to be great, I definitely want to see more Nitro+ games. Not to mention there is a sequel with good looking fighting gameplay. My interest is off the charts!#
Also, I bet fans of Phantom of Inferno would love to know about this game… There has to be SOMEONE everyone can mention this game to, if it turns out to be as good as I’m hoping.

Anyways, here’s some pictures I smashed together of the characters [stretch out the browser a ton to see them all in a row, as was intended (fourm won’t allow wide images)]

And here’s a Demonbane video of the kind of mood you might expect from this game :

Anyways, I’m READY FOR SHIPPING! I’m ready to see Al Azif rush out of the box …

EDIT:
oh btw… THIS

I just made a wallpaper using the images from above… Probably not too good but… here you go!

::the end::

Hi, nice to meet you all. Finally I made my mind and decided to register in this forum. I preordered this game in february 2010 and I’ve been watching this thread since then, reading everything posted in order to ease my impatience. It’s been a long journey, but finally seems that the game is almost here.

It’s a great idea to advertise this game. Hopefully Demonbane sales will be good enough and some other titles from Nitro+ will be localized (I’m very interested in Steins;Gate). I uploaded a video some time ago that can be used to get people interested in this game, it’s the trailer for the PS2 version of Demonbane with the epic “Evil Shine” theme, in high quality (there’s another HD version in Youtube, but I fixed the sound in this one). I hope you enjoy it!

I feel slightly guilty for the fact that the pictures you’ve posted remind me of why I’m extremely reluctant to buy this one, even though I do want to see other Nitro+ games… But I’m FAR from the average customer. I do wish you all the best of luck, I hope the game is great for you and that it sells lots!

Perhaps I should turn my post into just a few wallpapers instead of a massive wall… (got the pictures off the Nitro+USA website)

What makes you extremely reluctant to buy Demonbane?
If it’s the character shots, well they are definitely acquired tastes. And well, I’m not usually very interested in the super busty look. That was one hurdle for me to accept. The guy with the uh, revealing suit is also a bit of an odd hurdle. (Reminds me of Muv Luv Alternative’s opening those plug suits or whatnot they wear… kinda awkward)
The mad eye doctor on the left is certainly… WEIRD.
The lolita girl on the right is pretty awesome, although I’m not really into that kind of thing.
And the girl on the left, is the most normal looking lol.

As for the main character and Al, they are pretty cool.
If you don’t like the wallpaper… sorry it’s pretty dark x_x

Then the few CG shots I posted :
I cannot see anything bad about the pic with the guy and the girl. She doesn’t look so incredibly busty there.
The sorcerer’s cape look isn’t too bad. He’s a wanna be Castlevania hunter
The guy on the right has a strange look, but it’s a pretty RAGEful scene.
The last pic, well I am not too keen on the CG background, but the girl isn’t bad. And the dialogue sounds funny assuming it’s describing what her mood might be in a second.

Bottomline :
I didn’t fall in love with giant robot Ctuhulu-based, Demonbane right away… In fact, I am NOT in love with it!
I am just hoping the same magic that got me into visual novels (Phantom of Inferno), also exists in Demonbane.

Giving it a fair chance to prove to me Nitro+ games are all good stuff ;D

I didn’t care for what little I saw of the anime (to be fair I only saw the first episode or so!) and I find a lot of the character designs off-putting. It’s not just that they have huge breasts, it’s the way the costumes interact with them. Even characters who aren’t boobmonsters come off as distractingly tacky. It makes me feel sleazy for watching, and it makes it difficult for me to take the characters seriously. I feel slightly bad about that, since that reaction would be highly inappropriate if they were real people. But they’re not; they’re just designs, and designs made up to appeal to someone who is very much not me.

Al actually escapes most of that criticism, she’s not so bad.

I may be lured back in with enough gushing reviews though.

there is only 2 main girls with uberboobs , one with slightly large boobs and the rest of the major girls excluding ruri’s staff and the robot girl are pretty much loli’s

I had better get my copy of the game by next Thursday. I’m hoping to spend a considerable amount of time playing the game while working ACen.

I don’t care for the designs at all in this game. As the orders were already processed I do have no choice but to return my package whenever I get it, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the game itself. My two reasons for getting it were olf’s changing AA avatars and the hope for one of two games to come here. That was enough for me.

Been waiting for this game forever. Glad the time is nearly upon us for getting the game. Now only if I got an email telling me my order was processed…

That’s ironic, because I feel exactly the opposite. I’m disconcerted by objectification of real women. It’s one reason I shy away from live action porn. Characters aren’t real, however–objectification of them is perfectly acceptable.

That’s not quite what I was trying to say, though I appreciate your viewpoint.

What I meant was, if I met a real life woman on the street dressing in a manner similar to one of those character designs of her own free choice, it would be rude for me to go “ew” at her, because that usually boils down to either inappropriate moral judgments (slut-shaming) or class warfare (‘tacky’ fashion often really means ‘looking lower-class’). And it would be very wrong for me to sniff that I couldn’t take someone seriously just because she happened to dress sexily or have huge breasts. That’s a problem that many real women have faced at the workplace, trying to find this ridiculous balance between being ‘pretty enough’ to be considered acceptable but not ‘too pretty’ and therefore considered to be stupid or just exploiting their looks.

But these aren’t real people making their own choices, they’re just fantasies dolled up for someone’s appetites.

In general I can only enjoy live action porn if the people involved appear to be having a good time. I don’t have any problem with happy consensual porn, any more than I would with happy consensual sex.

(But I probably shouldn’t derail this topic too much, especially with people about to get game!)

Clicking on this link should give you everything you need to know about Demonbane and why to play it, really.

 … I think that explains my thoughts well enough. Of course I agree with you and that is why I also bought the art books for Demonbane that J-List offers for her pictures.

Aha, at last, final stretch! I’m looking forward to playing this game and rating it (reviewing)

Saw this the other day, seemed appropriate >< xD
