And just when was the last time you were called a bishoujo newbie, Unicorn-san?

It's not necessary to be called like that. I think, it's sufficient to be one...

Heh, how about I rephrase it this way:

"When was the last time someone, other than you, considered you a bishoujo newbie?"

I only play through the 5 first minutes of the fourth story (through the monochrome events, thus up to the colored events), but as it reveals one thing, it forced me to post at once how I guess .deit era seirots tnereffid eht

You may comment on this, Unicorn… Don’t worry about spoilers, as I don’t mind them… much.
OTOH, you may not want to comment and let me see later if I’m wrong. ^_-

We're all newbies here (me being the most clueless), ekycchan, save for Lamuness, Kagami, gurvon, Unicorn, Orochi and a few veterans...

I personally just use _strrev, but... Oh, well, I compiled a friendly version of it here (5min for the code, 20min for the icon ). It takes into account CR/LF characters, so each sentence should be on one line only...

But from what I can gather, that was one of things I liked about the stories so much - trying to figure them out. Sometimes I felt they went one way, but then later I felt another. And you can't really talk about the story structure openly because just about anything you say will spoil the game in some small fashion.

I fully agree with that!

Right, and I was teasing Unicorn-san, who used the inclusive "us" to imply he was a newbie and whom you yourself apparantly don't apparantly consider one. *blink* That was some interesting sentence structure right there...

... and entirely wrong too, because I am certainly more a newbie than olf_le_dragon!

So, the inclusive us wasn't used because of my poor english-skills, but fully on purpose.

since my name wasn’t listed, does that mean I’m still a newbie too? or am I clumped in with the other’ random veterans’?

I leave that to you to determine if you're on a par with Lamuness, Kagami, gurvon, Unicorn and Orochi as far as knowledge about the bishoujo world is concerned...

You could just play in Japanese with skipping the whole text, you know?

Well if we're comparing to them, I'm not even a newbie. What's below newbie?

Stop listing my name or I will show everybody pics of your room… :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm using XP without any problem.

Have they come out with a CD of the Giniro game music? I'd like to play the background music when I'm feeling melancholy or contemplative. I only have the three music samples from the Nekoneko website and that's not making it. I think I asked about this question somewhere before. :P
And you were answered. In some thread. But, in a nutshell, you can find the Gin'iro soundtrack in either the CD which contains the soundtrack for "White" and "Silver" or in the NekoNeko Fandisk package, which came with a CD with soundtrack from "White", "Silver" and "Lightblue"

Hey minna-san!
Did you hear THAT!
Finally....
*Breaks down in tears like Soun Tendo*

ok so i got my borrowed copy of Gin-Iro, (Thanks, Nande!) and reading through this thread, I am now inspired ot ask this question of the first story, which I just finished:

What DOES that untranslated spoken line say, the one that in this thread is referred to as the answer to the whole question of the story? It’s gonna drive me nuts if I don’t find out

And as for my opinion of the translation, it is the WORST english translation I have EVER seen in a translated game…But it is still understandable enough, if you broaden your mind to encompass the basic MEANING of a sentence and ignore the non-existent grammar and spelling…let’s just say that while I had to re-read some sentences three times just to get the gist of what was being said, the story was still powerful enough in the first story to make me bawl like a baby and get all depressed

Teee-heee-heee. It's the girl's answer to the question: "?rof hsiw uoy dluow tahW". Unfortunately, I'm not behind my computer at home, meaning not behind a computer with the game installed, and though I recall approximately what she said, I'd like to give you an exact translation, so... you'll have to wait for tomorrow!
Besides, I like to tease you with the waiting...

P.S. Honestly, I wonder how people who only played to the English version could have lived and enjoyed the game without knowing that sentence, but...

So, glad we talked you about this wonderfully beautiful game?
Anyway, I personally found the third story way more powerful (i.e. sad/heartbreaking/tragic) than the first, so... you've been warned!

Hehe. Thanks to you guys, I’m wanting to play Gin’Iro now, however bad the English… I’ve been able to tune that kind of thing out before…

I don’t suppose anyone who’s got a copy lives in the UK and could lend it??? Seems like a bit of a long shot, but it’s worth a go…

Otherwise, well, I’ve told eBay to email me if anything appears. Guess I’ll fight the rest of you for it
