I wasn’t particularly fond of that myself, but at least that only meant that our release was on equal footing with the Japanese version–I’m much more worried about censorship/cuts being added in the localization process. Having the mosaics kept a CG in is better than having it cut out or having extra clothing added in.

What does it being all ages have to do with anything? They’re not making changes for censorship reasons, they’re making changes for stupid copyright reasons.
Admittedly I hate that copyright nonsense - the DVDs for one of my favorite shows from the 80s are badly damaged by the fact that all their soundtracks had to be removed, and the soundtracks were kinda important to the plot in many cases. But you can’t just decide to ignore copyright and sell stuff anyway…
Yeah. This isn’t censorship, anymore than it’s “censorship” that I can’t just take footage from Star Wars and copy/paste it into my new movie instead of paying for special effects. Censorship is the removal of content because it is unpleasant to someone’s sense of taste, or threatens them politically. This is a licensing snafu, where all the rights aren’t in order, so something had to be dropped.
The minigames, might have been dropped because of resource constraints - which is also not censorship.
It sucks, but it’s not censorship.

Minigame was dropped because of:
- Use of copyrighted characters from other works
- Porting the minigame to BGI would have been nontrivial
As long as I have my Naked lolis…
This is just my opinion, but having played both the fan-translation of Onikakushi and MG’s version I’d say that replacement tracks are actually nicer than old ones. Maybe that change was actually for better.
More responses being people saying that it’s not a big deal and telling you to stop complaining? Seriously Yagami, it’s idiotic if you’d rather not get game at all than get it with slightly different music.
I wouldn’t want to see Ryukishi draw anything naked, but hey, whatever is your thing…
What about the quality of translation?
Word has it that some fan hackers are working on a “mod” that will revamp the art and music by swapping it out with the PS2 version’s. Highly shady–but for those interested, the option will be out there.

It’s at least on level with fan-translation. I played the Twins’ patch and official release side-by-side for the half of Onikakushi’s first day(that’s when I decided that I’d rather enjoy reading Watanagashi than spend time comparing two versions). You can argue that which of them worded some sentences better, but that would be silly since it’s generally agreed that difference in quality between two is minimal. Both are great.
As far as errors go, I spotted some typos while playing Watanagashi but that’s it.
