You're right . He definively has the talent for becoming a FWOBIGOL .

Welcome, brother .

Don't you think that cat would think of that as kind of ruse? :3. Last time I did that, it showed me how much it loved me with it's claws .

Really? Then, let me remind you: Once we reminded Lamuness of something that he said about a bishoujo game half a year ago. When we reminded him,. he said something like "Darn, the people here have THAT good memories? I'll have to be careful with what I say from now on."

Er, okay, I think I'm over my nervous breakdown now. Hmm, just thought of something. We've been using masculine pronouns for Allarian-san, although "Ally" suggest to me a female person. (You're under no obligation to reveal your gender to us Allarian-san, I'm just making one of my odd observations.) Don't ask me why that thought came up.

Well, there's a 90% chance that he is of male gender, I'd say :3.

Hmm, I would definitely like to see more SIM type games out in general. From reading other boards and talking to others, True Love's SIM aspect was something people really liked. And it was also the positive aspect that a lot of people liked from the Maid's Story. (Who's main negative aspect for people was the mosaic, but then again we know the audience I was talking to and we've also had that whole discussion before anyhow.) Dokusen would be nice, but any decent SIM game can only help open up the genre to more people in my opinion.

That's what I've been trying to say . althrough ADV's can be very good, since they have the best stories, SIMs leaave a bigger impression of the bishoujo genre than an ADV does. They makes a bigger impact on people too. Just think about it; people STILL discuss True Love, althrough it's a very old game and not very good compared to other sims in Japan (according to Kumiko, that's it. but from what I've heard about other sims so far, I think I'll agree..). If a new SIm of any kind came out, who knows how long people would discuss it, then

Of cause, there are also Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff... Arrgh! Wrong reality again!

Wow, that was pretty fast. You definitely fit in...

Hmm, I don't have a cat myself but I agree with Spec-san, the risks involved outweigh the benefits. But even with the 90% chance, I still try to use general pronouns rather than gender-based ones for people until they decide to reveal their gender or not. To be polite if anything else because I've known people to get mad when referred to as the wrong gender even when there's no real way for people to know (like here on the BBS.)

Hopefully, that percentage will change over time and more females will get interested in these games. It broadens the customer base and also helps break down the idea that the only people interested in these game are "hormonally driven, adolescent boys". (Kinda like my friend's desire for more girls to be involved in paintball, but I think that's mainly because he wants a girlfriend who understands his obsession.)

And I know I'm going to regret asking this but "Ravenclaw" and "Hufflepuff"?

ravenclaw and hufflepuff are more Harry Potter references

Rawenclaw and Hufflepuff are two of the four dorms at Hogwarts in the Harry Potter books/movies. This can tell you a little about them:

-Sorting Hat Song- Year Four-

"A thousand years or more ago,
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose names are still well known:
Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor,
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen,
Sweet Hufflepuff, from valley broad,
Shrewd Slytherin, from fen.
They shared a wish, a hope, a dream,
They hatched a daring plan
to educate young sorcerers
Thus Hogwarts School Began.
Now each of these four founders,
Formed their own house, for each,
Did value different virtues
In the ones they had to teach.
By Gryffindor, the bravest were,
Where they are just and loyal
Prized far beyind the rest;
For Ravenclaw, the cleverest
Would always be the best;
For Hufflepuff, hard workers were
Most worthy of admission;
And power-hungry Slytherin
Loved those of great ambition.
While still alive they did divide
Their favorites from the throng,
Yet how to pick the worthy ones
When they were dead and gone?
'Twas Gryffindor who found the way,
He whipped me off his head
The founders put some brains in me
So I could choose instead!
Now slip me snug about your ears,
I've never yet been wrong,
I'll have a look inside your brain
And see where you belong!"

Eh? Milk? Eggs? Bread?

Explain to me again why I have to sign your grocery list, Nandemonai?

What? How'd that get there?

*grabs the piece of paper*

So if this is the grocery list, then where's the contract?

...My minions are going to have an interesting time at the grocery store...Excellent.

Erm, as for you...Allarian, would you be interested in selling me your eggs and some milk, instead? I think we're out...

So am I like the only one here who doesn’t read the Harry Potter books or see the movies? And to tell you the truth, I briefly thought they were actually Pokemon references, but I probably wouldn’t understand those either. Sigh. I’m going to go back to my cave now and think about Nandemonai-san’s minion’s little grocery trip…

Perhaps, but at least, that makes you special.
I have to admit, I originally refused to read them too, because I usually resist a hype if I see it. But after watching the first movie, I had to change my attitude to the opposite (say it: "Turncoat!").

Well, what was first:
You beeing special for other reasons, or you not reading Harry Potter?
I may be wrong, but I think you have been born without having read Harry Potter, right?

Well, not really. He'd be ever more "special", if he was one of the very few ones who haven't read nor watched "The Lord of the Rings" .

Oh I'm special for lots of things, not reading Harry Potter just being one of the more recent ones. Hmm, not having read Lord of the Rings isn't all that special, I know quite a few people who havn't read it. Apparantaly, it's "too difficult". (At least according to my friend who tried to read it but then again, she doesn't remember a single thing from either movie that doesn't involve Legolas.)

Why would I say that? I view it as more of someone coming into the light. You're supposed to ignore hype, not make decisions to avoid based solely on it. Sometimes things are hyped for a reason.

...or are you going to be avoiding Slave Bazaar and Little My Maid, then?

Replace "difficult" with "badly written", and you'd actually get something pretty close to true.
