Official Post about Shiny Days

The starless patch was linked here by anonymous so i assume the same will be done for shiny days by mr anonymous

otherwise it'll be on nyaa.

Anyone get a shipping notification yet? I'm in Florida so I'm a bit ahead of Cali... I ordered mine the day it went up so I'm a lil curious if I have to wait a little longer :3 I hope the physical copies are nice~

I didn't get any notification and it doesn't even show up on my past orders page on jbox or jlist.

I assume they're working on it, hopefully.

"Any word on the patch? And is someone going to post something to let us know, or at least where to go to find out?"

I'll tweet it when I come across it and it'll be added to VNDB. The patch is due out by the end of this week--but it could be delayed. It is coming though!

@sanah Do you mean the "unofficial patch" or the patch which restores the Kokoro route and apparently one other scene with the JP movie?

@sanahtlig, Thank you for letting me know, well all of us, but thanks again!!!

I'm referring to the (un)official restoration patch. There's no telling how long it'll take to patch / solve all of the technical issues with Shiny Days. Hopefully the save corruption will get fixed sooner rather than later. I'd be wary of starting a playthrough til that's solved, even if the restoration patch was out.

@Markus S. lol. fade to black? the full beach scene and the classroom scenes just has the explicit parts covered in completely black screens with the voices going off in the background with the subs. Switching in the jp movie04.gpk adds the mosaic version back in(although i just noticed that the voices are off. Probably need to move one of the voice gpks or I broke something.)

The one in the katsura home is weird though. No matter what I exchanged, it always skips to the end where makoto gets knocked out when the naughty parts were suppose to start. This make me think that there’s script somewhere that’s just skipping those movie files and playing the end. This is the same with kokoro’s classmate at the tutoring place.

@Akil Austin The game is really tough if you’re trying to go through this without a guide of some sort. Getting into certain routes requires getting setsuna’s meter at certain levels at certain parts of the game to trigger other events or choices that are required to move towards those routes.

@Haerts No ship confirmation. Just a preparing email after getting my download code. My order is also missing from my account.

I actually got hit with the manami bug. It sucks cause I had 75% route completion. Now I'm just packing up my saves in rars just in case something happens again.

Actually contacted support and they offered to try to recover it but I already started over and have my saves and endings in a neater order than my first playthrough.

@Chise : I'm still looking for my globalflag.dat, but if you can send me yours (the only one i have right now is 26% which is not very useful) I'd like to post it at least for people who are further in the game to use as a temp workaround until I can get the 100% one / figure out what flag is messing things up so we can patch it.

(I suspect that it's because in the original Japanese game, there was a route that that cut from the game, and when we were adding back in the routes we may have allowed the flag by mistake making it crash.)

Btw for reference here's my dxdiag of the dell 7720. I tried playing it FS on my TV last night, default vsyn (probably off) and didnt have any tearing or problems.

@Tim

That's my broken one if you want to mess with it.

My current one is at 55%

An anon on 4chan posted this Global save. Should be 100%, as it appears to be posted by the guy doing the Shiny Days walkthrough for Otaku Lair.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0FEWIDMXT4VOGt3V19NMDVvSEk

thanks @sanahtlig

looks like it works, , i overwrote my globalflag and the save names and dates are wrong but they load to the right places. I sent a few of the corrupted ones to be checked (ty @ Chise), hopefully we can get a fix soon.

I don’t know if it’s a bug or whether I haven’t met certain requirements, but I think the h-scene with the twins ends before it should. Both when I got the ending and in replay mode, it ends when Kazuha (shy twin) begins to have her ride on Makoto’s love rocket. At the time I thought it was an oddly abrupt cut to the next scene and have since found gifs to suggest that Kazuha should have had more fun than she did.

Any ideas?

I'm just end up with Setsuna (Paris of the Two ending, happy end, not harem end ). So much feeling, it really give me tear at Setsuna confession scene and later scene on the beach and then right after they kiss at beginning H-scene on the beach SHINYDAYS.exe stop has working screen slap me on the face. I also encountered several random crash on playthrough. It does not happen often so it doesn't bother me much but crashing in middle H-scene is great way to ruin the mood :)) .Jast please do something about crash issue.

Back to Setsuna. After play her route now I alway feel bad when cruel with her to get other girl T_T. Guess I will stop playing for a while, beside there no full english walkthrough yet. Thank you for reading and sorry for my bad english.

@Tim:

I see you still have an older nvidia driver on your dell than the DXdiag I included in my original ticket (which was not the driver from end of Septembre). I'll try to get the DXdiag driver version for the 350.12 this (European) evening to be able to compare it with yours (really sad they are totally different from the forceware driver version...)

@all:

I have played yesterday using nvidia driver 350.12* and didn't have a single crash. It's a bit early to say it's crash free, but at least I think it's an improvement. I will try to confirm the stability today. However my stalling issues with saving the game are still present.

I don't think installing an old nvidia driver should be a solution, but if we can confirm that, it should give JastUSA and nvidia the chance to put their heads together.

*: to avoid Windows installing a newer driver, I blocked that using a policy - can't find an English guide for that. Maybe you find one when googling bluescreen with nvlddmkm.sys, when you need to start gpedit.msc you are on the right track

@nuka cola Unfortunately the crashes are common in the jp version too.

@raincoat superstar There’s two replay entries for the twins. One of them has two versions which each of the twins starting first. First page, bottom 2nd is the two option one. You probably have the one on the top row 4th.

So around 6/36 of the hentai scenes (17%) are blacked out. Where is the patch? Also for such an expansive game maybe JAST should have translated the walkthrough and included it with the download.

Then there are the game breaking bugs along with the simple grammar errors and typos I noticed 6 so far. I really hope JAST doesn’t get discouraged by this rollout disaster and still translates these type of games

but they have to do better then this.
