Post your Bishoujo review website links

Sweet, I just scored a Fatal Relation, I hope I can complete my backlog of Himeya Soft game reviews sometime these two weeks. The Viper Paradice review is almost done.

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve been here, or update my opinion/review pages, but here is one more to add to the list.

What should we call it, "Anime Opinions" or "Anime Thoughts"?

I settled with 'Anime Opinions' because that's what it says in your URL.

Updated my links, webmasters, please submit a short one sentence description of your page, otherwise the descriptions will be subject to my whims, like 'The webmaster for this website is hot!' or 'Maybe you didn't know this, but I saw him in an off-broadway musical of Rocky Horror Picture Show'.

New review for Viper Paradice is up. Pardon the lack of screenshots, they will be uploaded ASAP tomorrow when I bring them in.

Thanks for the description. I've added it next to the link. By the way, Animetric.com's webmaster had been sighted playing the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in an off-Broadway musical production, and the webmistress of English Bishoujo World is hot!

*blink* Where'd that come from?!?

Okay, I'm kidding. Just looking at the sites you have listed, I'm really reminded of how amused I am at people's reactions when they find out that most of the sites I refer them to for information on bishoujo games are run by females. (boy am I easily amused...)

I'm just too lazy to verify each webmaster's gender. I only know ladyphoenix is actually a woman because she uses obvious words that only women use, and she mentions her boyfriend... unless she is gay!!! OH MY GOD!
If everyone want to keep his gender hidden, that's his prerogative, but this dude will always be 75% Taiwanese, 25% Japanese and 100% male. (Don't nitpick the usage of male pronouns and possessive forms, it's an English writing convention, is actually both male and female gender inclusive.)

Wasn't really asking you to. (You can do it if you get really bored.) But in general, when someone asks me for sites, I usually point them to Ladyphoenix's site, Hentai Neko or Animetric. (Not to slight the rest of you, I just know those sites by heart.) Plus, I like dispelling the notion that only guys play these games.

But I've never been one to bow to convention. And here, it's not usually used as a convention, but as an assumption of gender, that's why I tease people about it. Besides, it's more fun that way...

ok here is my short description for my website:

"A website dedicated to information about the often misunderstood genre of English-translated bishoujo/hentai games, in an effort to promote loyal and legal support for the market, as well as allow fans to make informed choices about which games they wish to buy. Long Live Bishoujo!"

ok, maybe not super-short, but i think that sums it up pretty good

I would say

"A website dedicated to informing people about the often misunderstood genre of English translated bishoujo (hentai) games. To make a effort to promote legal support for the market and to help fans make informed choices about which games they wish to buy. Long Live Bishoujo!"

Just slight sentence structure change suggestion .

GRAMMA HAIPAA FURAAAMU ON

"An information website about oft misunderstood English-translated bishoujo (sometimes called hentai) games, to help promote loyal (and legal) support for the market and let fans make informed choices about which games to buy. Long Live Bishoujo!"

...Normally I wouldn't "flame" someone's grammar, but it seemed like a helpful thing to do.

Buuuu. Terrible run-on. I'm probably going to go with ladyphoenix's original, only remove instances of hentai, so it will look like this:

A website dedicated to information about the often misunderstood genre of English-translated bishoujo games, in an effort to promote loyal and legal support for the market, as well as allow fans to make informed choices about which games they wish to buy. Long Live Bishoujo!

And the Webmistress is hot.

lol…wow, i wasn’t expecting such a big group of re-writes thanks for going with the original, though

and i AM hot…certainly not the hottest in the world, but hot nonetheless

Uhh… hey… Ladyphoenix…

Yes, my queen…

*Whip appears in my hand* Bow lower, you insolent curs! Kiss the ground where The Goddess walks to receive the blessings her aura gives of! *lemons jumps on the backs of anyone who's not bowing low enough to make them bow even lower* All praise the Goddess! *chanting, chanting*

The original was a runon sentence which is why I suggested the change in the first place . Not trying to be nitpicky was just offering a suggestion.

Speaking of which do you want me to write you any review bookmeow? I remember you mentioning something awhile back about that but was not sure if I would be able to write the type of reviews you wanted. I have a review on Ladypheonix’s webpage which is a decent example of what to expect.

Oops, I found your review BigDog. I think it needs some work. You need exposition, an outline, and a solid conclusion. I know this is the way the reviews are broken up into on Lady Phoenix's website, system requirements graphics sounds and so forth. But it Looks like a bunch of
post-it notes. You have to tie them together with a stronger thesis. Let's discuss this over email, it's yeouhsu@princeton.edu
