this thread is so long because we can write anything we want and not get in trouble for it being off-topic, so it’s a great place to demonstrate just how silly and weird our real lives and minds are
and i love using it as a venting place for my relationship issues (which hopefully are done)
Okay, I have the latest on topic off topic-ness for this thread. Based on Unicorn’s not knowing the word “pounce”, I propose that us native speakers try to stump us non-native speakers with our voluminous vocabularies while still ostensibly talking about things going on in this thread.

1) Because it's fun

3) Because we love this thread!
And here, we go:
Eyes on Me (Love theme from FF VIII)
Composer Nobuo Uematsu Lyrics: Kako Someya Arranger: Shirou Hamaguchi
Whenever sang my songs On the stage, on my own Whenever said my words Wishing they would be heard I saw you smiling at me Was it real or just my fantasy You'd always be there in the corner Of this tiny little bar
My last night here for you Same old songs, just once more My last night here with you? Maybe yes, maybe no I kind of liked it your way How you shyly placed your eyes on me Oh, did you ever know? That I had mine on you
Darling, so there you are With that look on your face As if you're never hurt As if you're never down Shall I be the one for you Who pinches you softly but sure If frown is shown then I will know that you are no dreamer
So let me come to you Close as I wanted to be Close enough for me To feel your heart beating fast And stay there as I whisper How I loved your peaceful eyes on me Did you ever know That I had mine on you
Darling so share with me Your love if you have enough Your tears if you're holding back Or pain if that's what it is How can I let you know I'm more than the dress and the voice Just reach me out then You will know that you're not dreaming
Darling, so there you are With that look on your face As if you're never hurt As if you're never down Shall I be the one for you Who pinches you softly but sure If frown is shown then I will know that you are no dreamer
Going off-topic agian, have everyone here watched any of Akira Kurosawa’s movies? i’ve seen The Seven Samurai, Yojimbo and yesterday I saw Ran… A quite sad one, that last one…

Er, "New To"? "Newbie Type"? Beats me, Unicorn-san can explain I guess...
Yup, seen Kurosawa's movies. Really need to pick them up on DVD one of these days. Well, after I finish picking up a few more anime DVD's....
Speaking of which, I had a very geeky otaku moment last night. I was watching "His and Her Circumstances" last night and the titles overlay got stuck preventing the subtitles from appearing for a bit. I didn't even realize that the subtitles weren't there for a minute or two until they said a word my brain couldn't translate and then suddenly I realized that I had been doing the translation in my head instead of reading the subtitles! (Even went back through the subtitles to verify I had translated correctly.) Sorry, but it was just a brief moment of geeky joy for me when I realized what I had done and I just needed to share... You knows how Alucard (Hellsing) always rises, no matter what hits him, right? Well, this thread is like that, I suppose. Not even silver bullets blessed by the Pope could truly kill it .

Yeah, those movies are on DVd... I'll have to make my own anime collection bigger before I buy any of those DVD's, through .
