You know, after reading the Maid's Story section, I'm thinking about buying it... I've played it before; I downloaded it a long time ago, but deleted at about the same time as I came to these boards, but now I feel kind a eager to buy and play it again . Even if the game itself does have some flaws, it also have some intersting aspects, and it is after all one of the few sims avliable at the english market .

Since you are now quite seriously interested in that game, I am going to mail you my review (that's what I was hinting on in my reply to the goddess) right now.

EEP! You know, I totally forgot that I had written that review. sigh And I still havn’t gotten around to the other reviews I’ve been meaning to write for other sites. Damn work, interfering with my leisure activities…

lol, i’m glad my section is sparking new interest in The Maid’s Story…it is one of my favorite titles i highly recommend it

and yeah, i was a little surprised myself when i went to put up the section last night and realized i didn’t have a Unicorn review of it

frowns

It was one of your favorite titles? That’s odd. I didn’t like it at all. Maybe I’ll give it another try…but in the interests of animating this thread some…why don’t you elaborate for a dozen or so posts?

Thanks . It's one of the"old" games that I'm thinking about getting, along with TSS and perhaps GLORIA.

If I remember correctly, back then you said that you didn't like it because that the maids were treated pretty much like prostitues?

Well about TSS, I am not quite sure if it is recommendable to think of buying the DOS-version, if JAST has announced the memorial collection with refined graphics and an XP-compatible engine (at least, it sounded that way).

But "GLO*RI*A" and "The Maids Story" could be good ideas (though, I heard of some problems with "GLO*RI*A" and XP and never tried "The Maids Story" on XP).

My computer has Win 98, so I should be able to play TSS in DOS with no problems if I need to. Hmm, my father said not too long a go, that nowadays, few people remember how to use the old DOS system to do even such a simple thing as playing a game...

Maid's Story and Gloria did also sound like good ideas to me, or so I throught. We'll see what I'll do...

This depends on
- how long you will use this computer
- if it is possible to install Win98 on the next computer
- if you ever want to change to XP (can't advice this. I still have XP and 98 parallel on my PC and am glad of that. XP has the better support of japanese characters, but 98 is more stable (XP crashed with May Club, demos of Brave Soul and Obbligato and even in the closing credits of Obbligato . Not to mention: the installation routine of OMnY completely refused XP and worked normally on Win98... again)

Thanks, I’ll think about it, then. Then I may buy Gloria and Maid’s Story before I go to TSS…

public apology to unicorn!!! i’m so sorry and i’m a scatter-brain!

i DO have the review and guide to maid’s story you sent me, but like i wrote in my email to you, i completely forgot that you put your earlier reviews and such to me right in the body of your emails and not in downloadable files, and i only looked in my downloads folder for the reviews and such

and the same apology goes to ksarchet too, for the same reason, you always put your reviews in the body of your email and it totally slipped my mind to look there…

gomen nasai gomen nasai…please forgive me!!! :: grovels before unicorn and ksarchet, begging for forgiveness::

I don't remember. You're probably right. But I'd have to play it again to decide, and I don't actually *own* it, and I'm not interested in buying it based on my recollection of the game, so I'm sort of stuck.

Have you been smoking my crack? Again? That stuff is expensive, you know you can't just take it like that.

Hey! Please, don't do that and stand up!

We love our baka-goddess and surely don't want to see her crawl on the ground!

It would be much better if you instead return to updating your homepage each 2-3 weeks.

(I think, ksarchet would agree...)

P.S.:
If you insist on staying down there, please remember the risk you are taking: There is a jaw, that tends to roll around there quite frequently...

umm, I thought we were supposed to prostrate ourselves at your feet. Please get up. Oversights are understandable. You are MY goddess. If you need me to say it “I forgive you.” be happy. We love you.

I’ll take that as your announcing, we are in agreement.

That's probably correct, given what we know of Nandemonai-san's preferences. And to tell you the truth, I think I would have liked the game without the night lessons. And like I mentioned in my review (it's so strange reading my reviews after so long...) it just made me wonder who exactly I was training the girls for. I mean, my favorite was Sanae, but I hated most of the night lessons I did with her.

Heh, Ladyphoenix-sama, you really thought you needed to beg forgiveness from the likes of Unicorn-san and Ksarchet-san? The two guys who are like hyperactive kids on speed after the briefest of your smiles or can be in ecstasy all day over one of your bounces? (Not that the rest of us aren't affected but they tend to take it to another level... ) You should definitely know those two better than that! (Hmm, I think I'll have the term "baka-goddess" in my head all week...)

Okay, that's it, I'm welding that jaw on...
