Refresh my memory, Lamuness...

2003, huh?

Wait, wait. I think I see where they're going with this. In the year 2003 under what calendar system?

Allow me to make a random observation. I've noticed that there have been no annoucnements of acquired titles since the temporary suspension. While this isn't exactly surprising, looking behind the scenes I am inferring the following, admittedly entirely made up scenario:

Dave E, under the guise of Kumiko, announced they had picked up the rights to games as soon as he heard the news. I am left with the impression, at least based solely on Lamuness' statements, that the rest of the people in Peach Princess were not too fond of this. The announcement of the temporary suspensions came not too soon before Dave E left, if I'm recalling this right. So it could be that they have been acquiring the rights to more titles, now that they've dequeued some of the games in their "to-do list". If this were the case, then it stands to reason that they wouldn't necessarily announce them right away--it makes good sense to hold off on announcing a title that neither you nor the Japanese firms have started working on yet.

As a matter of fact, there's a very good reason not to prematurely announce a game, and it's called Little My Maid.

And why hasn't my e-mail prayer gotten answered uet? Well, Lamuness did say that they're going to work on other games meanwhile too, but first they want to finish XC2 and Brave Soul, then the work on Doushin, SB adn the others can begin

*nods in understanding*

We haven’t heard anything about lots of games that they got the rights to. I want LMM and who knows how long it will take to be released. (bugs Mr. Rico, Zillions of them)

I wouldn't expect to see it until 2005/2006.

Well, after Kumiko-sama left, the bold announcements became quite rare. However, some months of delay might be a possibility...
Oh yes, of cause, december 31st 2003 is also in 2003, right?

... finally concentrate on the Will-licenses, they already have?

Hehe, well, since it is Peter who's
dade this annoucement, I think this is more correct than the ones Kimiko made. But even so, that does not gurantee that the game getsw out... Even, if it might, as you said, get out VERY late in 2003 .

Gee, yeah, I'd except them to do that, but... So far Crowd have released the best games, and have turned into my favourite company, and until LMM and Slave Bazaar gets out, I don't think anyone will be able to "beat them down" to "2th favourite" or something like that . And besides, there are other Cowd-games I want to see released here too (you know which ones, I suspect ), and I'm kinda worried about the time it may take before we see any new Crowd-games if PP not enter any new negotiations with Crowd after XC2 and BS have been released... Hmm...

So, what if they suddenly decide to

* Ta-Daaaa *
* Lemon-scouts bouncing in salto-mortale *

announce "Utsukushii Hime"?

Wouldn't that move CROWD a bit towards 2nd position?

Well, first of all, we don't know what's going on behind the closed doors. Informations over new bought lincenses are now treated as confidential information, so even repeatedly asking wouldn't help.

Looking on the bright side: There might be some further surprises in store, like the sudden announcement of Doushin in the last newsletter. Because we can't force them, let the good news come at their own pace.

We simply have to rely on lamuness (and perhaps other PeaPri-staff, that do only watch this space frequently) to notice our preferences and take them as "customer suggestions" into their discussions about further products.

BTW: Oooops! Are we really going to turn this multi-mania thread into a bishoujo-related thread?

.. you got me there . Yeah, if Dokusen, Utsukushii Hime or Kairaku were announced, Crowd would be beaten down . Then, again, it's unlikely that one of these will get announced; I don't know what Rouge's attitude towards PP is, but if they think much like Ruf, it's impossible to say what the negoations would be like (then, again, Kairaku and Utsukushii Hime are their oldest titles, so who knows.... and Dokusen has those problems .... So right now, at least until (and if) LMM or SB proves to be better, I think Crowd will remain where they are

Hmm, I suppose that all we can do is to let the news coem at their own pace, then... but I DO hope that they are informeda but what their customers seems to want the most . Then, again, so far Crowds games have sold best and I'm quite sure of that Brave Soul and XC2 will sell good as well, so we might not have to worry about Crowd... To not release any more games by the so far most popular company would definitely be a bad move . But it might hang on what Crowd's impressions so far is, or what Peach Princess can afford...

I've always had the impression that the regular PeaPri-staff more or less avoids the boards. I mean, most normal people would avoid us after all...

I know, that's such a depressing thought. But I can't think of anyway to avoid it short of doing the "monkey dance" and I don't think that would translate too well on the board. That and I think it my scare a few of my co-workers. Heck, they didn't like the "Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here" sign...

Well, I think at least Lamuness forwards what we think to them. and he does, after all, have his own impressions . Since he often sells stuff for PP at cons, he knows what the average customers seems to prefer... Then again, those customers are not us ^^;

That true. (And who are those strange people, and why aren't they on this board?) But I think Lamuness-san is more the conduit to PeaPri for us than the board in and of itself. I mean, we still usually have to remind people to contact the support email with technical issues and not just post on the help board hoping for "official" help. (We're knowledgeable, not official.)

I wonder if this thread will ever make a thousand posts...

I have no doubt it will reach 1000 posts. It might reach triple digit pages.

Well, I'm tempted to just ask Lamuness if Peach Princess has any rights to any games they haven't announced. A simple, one word, yes or no would convey no information, and would ease up on the speculation on what happens after Doushin. Of course, I don't think Lamuness could even answer THAT. So, um, Lamuness--if you can answer what I just didn't ask, that'd be great?

Ah, but this is the hallmark of true chaos: there are periods of tranquility, just because it's what isn't expected.

Please, don't do the monkey dance. It's not worth it. If you have to do a dance, do the funky chicken.

Well, either they're lurkers, or people who buys PP games, but don't care much about coming here, adn then there's those who're like CrimsonFire, etc...But we don't see all that many players of PP's games here. About 2000 people may buy the games, but only about one person per 100 people seems to be posting here. Of course, there may be even more lurkers...

I'd be happy with just a "Yes" or "No" (or something like "No, not right now, but we're going to have some negotiations soon),

i just want to hear that they are working on slave bazaar again…yes i know i’m overly obsessed, but i was SOOOOO excited when i first saw the demo movie and then my heart broke when they said it was suspended!!!

grumble grumble grumble!!!i’m going to start a picket line outside peapri’s offices
