I remember when I was in Athens, Georgia the State Botanical Gardens had some events for at least a few springs centered around the azalea's. Nothing all that major but there were always a lot of people to the point of actually having more guided tours then normal just to show the azaleas in bloom and lots of special gift items for those days. Not really on the same level but the closest 'celebration' of a similar type that I am aware of having lived near.

Cool thanks for this information. So it seems that it could almost be a near continous amount of celebrations so long as there is sakura of any variety in bloom I guess from sometime in March to mid-April then?

Now is a good time to catch fruit blossoms in Western Canada.

Most trees blossomed in Vancouver six weeks ago. Below are some pictures I took back then (Caveat emptor: I am not a good photographer and my digital camera is a relatively cheap one!)

Alberni Street - Near Robson Street in Downtown Vancouver.
Bute Street - Again, near Robson Street.
English Bay - near Stanley Park.
Hornby Street - Just next to Granville in Downtown Vancouver.
TD Tower - In the heart of Downtown Vancouver.
A close up of the flowers in the picture above.
Vancouver Museum - In Downtown Vancouver.
Vancouver Museum - Another picture of the museum.

Enjoy!

Hey, ekylo, do you know if there are any onsen on Kauai?

Not off-hand. I havn't really played tourist on Kauai since I was 8, which was at least two hurricanes ago. I've been there since then but we didn't stay at hotels, it was mainly camping and hiking for hiking club and the boy scouts.

If you really want me to ask around, I can. If there is one, it mostly likely wouldn't be a natural one. It's believed that the islands were formed by a single hot spot, currently sitting under the island of Hawaii. Kauai is one of oldest and hasn't had volcanic activity in eons.

Either way, I hope you and Miko enjoy your trip!

Nah, I was just trying to be funny. After watching all those hot springs episodes in anime, I thought I'd do a little research.

Mahalo! We're staying at a B&B right on Anini Beach, so we don't have to go far for bathing as long as we have fair weather.

I just get upset that part of B.C. forgets about the rest of B.C. I grew up in a fruit growing area and miss the apple, peach, pear , plum and Cherry blossoms on the trees.
Oh ... We had hot springs close by too,
just no 'salt water'.

Do you mean, places like Okanagan? If that's the case, well... Let's say I have been in BC (and Canada) for less than three years and, except for a trip to Whistler, I haven't left the Great Vancouver area...

You actually know someone named Miko? I imagine naming someone "Miko" would be akin to naming someone John Doe...

Actually there was a guy at my dorm back in college who's name was John Doe. Pretty strange character, but a nice guy.

Must be fun trying to sign up for anything...I can just imagine trying to (say) open up a bank account in the name of John Doe.

No doubt. Even the time we met was a bit fun. We were at a CPR class and he was sitting next to me. The instructor had just brought out the resuscitation dummy and said "...let's pretend that John Doe here has just collapsed." John immediately fell off his chair and pretended to suffer a heart-attack. I also remember he won some sort of contest at the dorm and the announcement read "John Doe is the winner of the..." Sometimes, you wonder about parents when they name kids like this...

Hahahaha! Great! That’s my style of jokes, too!

But no one has answered my question on the previous page yet…

I have noticed some sites mention anime as uncut and others do not, are there sites when it can be assumed it is just uncut like TRSI or does it have to say uncut to be sure it is uncut?

If this has been asked my apologies I did a quick search and did not find anything.

This ‘question’:

quote:
Hehe, nice, but… I’m not sure I understand it.

Isn’t that a statement? What are you asking? Could you rephrase it to ask about what you do not understand?

I think the thing is when you ended with the period most of us, or at least I, assumed you were simply saying you did not understand end of sentence, rather then you did not understand could someone please explain.
