I guess that is a much better way to put it.

Hmm…CC(chrono crusade) as hellsing for girls, that’s a new one. Guess Chrono could be considered a bishonen sorta. CC is most definately targeted for a male audience though, with the guns and action and rosette Believe the manga was on shonen phonebook, think it was gan gan but not sure. Which by the way is also gonna be comming out soon. ADV which has the anime also has the manga so you should be seeing the manga out in stores pretty soon. So if you wanna get a feel of what the anime is like you can pick up the manga.

I have recently had the can to view the anime Kiddy Grade and slightly surprisingly found it to be one of the better ones of recent release I have seen, not sure if anyone else that has seen it would agree with that, but speaking of ones out fairly recently that is one.

I love the character designs for kiddy grade although Lumiere looks a little young. Did you get the LE kiddy grade with the cap heard they only made 5000 of them. Luckly I got 1

No, did not get the cap, did get the collectors box though which I am at least happy about even if that is not as rare. What is the cap like?

Yeah she is a bit young, but so were some of the charaters from Gate Keepers or at least it seemed that way, then again if you had any of those powers in either her case or the other case how young are you really? I so like the character design, it is sort of, and this is not to limit it by any means, but reminds me more of ‘big screen movie quality’ in terms of the depth of the style.

I don’t know if I can believe the fact that there were only 5,000 LE Kiddy Grade boxes made, simple based on the fact that nationwide, I saw five at my local Best Buy, two at my local Fry’s, and some girl wearing the Kiddy Grade cap at my local Suncoast. Where she got, though, I have no idea. Though it is plausible, I personally, have my doubts about that number. :shrugs:

On a side note, if I were smart, I would have bought one and auctioned it off or something. But as it is, I don’t have one for myself because the idea of an eight dvd show is a little much for me. I try to limit myself to six DVDs, I made a couple of exceptions for Chobits and Angelic Layer. But unless the show is superbly exceptional, I like to keep my limit at six, with the occasional stretch to seven.

Well Angelic Layer is still growing.
I guess that leaves out the longer shows like Ranma 1/2,Maison Ikkoku and Urusei Yatsura .

Haha yeah when the box+hat first came out on ebay it sold for $134 then it got flooded by sellers now it around $35 or so. The rep for Funi said they made 5000 so that’s what I was going by and it sold out fast enough that they had to make another couple thousand disc+box sets. Looks like you are a goto fan, he also did the chara designs for nadesico

An eight disc set is unusal but in some ways I like having the higher number of discs. Even if it is only three episodes a disc, it is still kind of cool. I think Gate Keepers was and eight dvd set, ten if you count Gate Keepers 21.

Yeah I am starting on the Maison Ikkoku collection then on to more Ranma 1/2 eventually and somewhere in there since I already have the money for this one at least. World of Naru.

Is that the same JEM from 80's television or a different one?

That is quite a list too, I am picking things up here and there when it comes to finding a list but I guess I should have added Kiddy Grade to my list but since it is coming out over time did not put it on the all at one time series or season release list.

I have no idea, other than the blurb listed by the right stuf. It looks so far I will be getting 'Cute aliens' like Lum and Narue.

Err, it is the 80's cartoon. I do remember the whole "JEM and the Holograms" versus the "Misfits", my kid sister used to watch it all the time. Drove me nuts...

Pretty big list there wood, if your buying these from TSRI I’d wait for the weekly deals and studio sales as you get them them for a hella lot cheaper than what your listing them for. In fact they have 801 airbats for like 12 bucks not too long ago

OH god you guys are dragging back bad memories of my childhood here with 80’s Jem. Although I think that might be the first Maho shoujo show in english TV.

Never actually saw this show, just remember all the ads for it and the toys along with the theme song which girls in my school played nonstop on tape during lunch.

Personally I am waiting for either Thundercats or Voltron : Defender of the Universe, as far as I can tell they are not on DVD yet and the tapes are not being released anymore if they were at all for some of them.

Most of them are the weekly deals and boxed sets. Well the boxed sets under $99.

Off the topic of weekly deals, does anyone know how many DVD’s there will be in the Kiddy Grade series? Some where I think I read 8 at one point but the box seems to hold nine and 8, at three shows per disc, would only be 21 total shows. I thought it was typical if you go that high to go 24 or 26?

It’s 8 discs, and I think it’s 26 episodes? Not exactly sure but it’s 24 or 26. Also there seems to have been a problem with the LE trading cards that were suppose to be in vol2. Guess the pressing plant made a boo boo and forgot to put them in some of the boxes. So if you want one with the trading cards you might have to either shake the box or see if you can see it through the clear plastic case.

Did not even know there were suppose to be trading cards, thanks for the reply on number of discs.
