Yup make sure you look for them in every volume. Oh and for last exile fans the LE for vol 3 is paper vanships!! Damn no one told me about them now I have to hunting for the LE
Thought I’d ask this here. Now that I finally got all the volumes of Full Metal Panic, I started watching them. When Sousuke is introducing himself to the class and he says what type of music he likes, I get the feeling there’s a joke there but I don’t understand it. Anyone can enlighten me on it?
Well might as well post some more info here since this seems to be our general anime thread Apparently there’s going to be a new To Heart anime comming up in Japan in October. Not much info out yet about what this series will be about though.

I thought he was just mentioning some names randomly in order to look like a regular youth, since he doesn't seem the type who listens to music. I always thought that out-of-character thing was the joke. Though I don't remember which names he mentioned, I seem to recall them not being typical youth-style music at all, which might have been part of it.
But like I said, I don't remember much of it anymore. Gotta fix my DVD drive and watch them over again...
Off topic slight but I recently read the manga Psychic Academy and was told that it is also an anime? All the sites I can find online that do not only mention manga might be written in Japanese which unfortunately I cannot read so I am not sure if they are only talking about the manga and fan sites about the manga or if there is an anime that might someday make it over here?

I think Comic Party was to come around today.
Stupid Comic Party. Preordered it and everything and stupid store still sold out. But since the box isn’t a numbered limited edition, they should get it back in eventually.
Actually, I only posted to test out some smilies for hotlinking, which is a success! Yay! Only problem now, is the long ass address. Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers.

Not sure exactly, but he recalled the CD's that Mao had given him earlier in the episode (the condom scene) saying they were "things that most Japanese high-school students probably have".
My guess is that they were just really cheesy pop (one disc looked like an idol J-pop group), which would be a huge contrast to Sousuke's otherwise stoic character.

I'm not sure if you know of this, but the fansub of Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu is a must if you like the main FMP series. It has a lot of episodes that the manga has, but not the season 1 anime. Though they aren't a part of the main plot, just "side stories" that happen between the main plot episodes. It focuses mostly (or solely) on the comedy aspect, dealing with the normal school days of Chidori and Sosuke.

Heh got my shipping notice for comic party box so I’m a happy camper today. As for the new To Heart anime there’s not much info on it, except that it’s suppose to air in the fall. When there’s more info I’ll put it up.
One more heads up for people buying Kiddy Grade Vol 2. Apparently there’s some issues with it having mono sound in both the sub and dub for the opening and endings along with one of the episodes.
Hmm I got it and watch the DVD but I did not notice that, I will have to check again, maybe it is an issue on just some volumes?
Hmm, I was going to pick Vol. 2 later today… Then again, it doesn’t make much difference to me. I so need a better sound system…
The easiest way to detect the mono sound is if you have a 5.1 system and use pro logic decoding. All the sound comes through the center speaker. Sometimes stereo systems will pump the sound on both speakers when it detects mono. Anyway here’s a link to the thread on AOD
