So how many here watch anime and read manga

Well I guess it did well enough in Japan to warrant a sequel. That good enough for you? Personally I couldn’t really get used to the character designs, plus the fact that the main character is a mass murderer

Lots of things do well enough in Japan for a season 2. Some of them are even good!

I wasn’t terribly impressed with Angel Tails. It has a cute intro theme  and that’s really about it. Problem is, with 12 angels, a main character, and 13 episodes’ worth of screen time … even a supremely skilled director would be hard pressed to make something good out of all the angels. Unfortunately they didn’t really do anything good with any of them (at least that I saw). With as many characters as it had in it they would have needed at least 3 or 4 times as many episodes.

And the writing would have needed to be improved. It was a fairly predictable standard shounen harem show, aside from the mass murdering aspect. Nothing special.

It looks like us long-suffering MI fans may finally see the rest of this series come to DVD! [preorder link]

Yup yup now comes the interesting part as I believe after box 5, none of the episodes had translations or dubs done for them. Let’s see how long it’ll take for box 6 to come out.

Didn’t the VHS dubs end with the episodes in box set #3? I thought that was the reason for the long delay between it and set #4. Also, there has been discussion on the AOD board about new VAs recruited for the remaining releases.

Another alternative to Angel Tales would be the newly release Sister Princess series. In this case, you got 12 would-be sisters instead of reincarnated pets.

This one isn't that great either. Apparently the games are many times better.

Well it was great enough to get sequel just like angel tails If only we could get the games released here.

I just wanted to let people know who don’t know already about the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie coming out.
Trailers and things can be seen at http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dvd/ff7ac.
So far, it looks so much better than Spirits Within. Just wanted to revive this thread, also.

Okay, the link’s working now. Apparently, there was a period at the end of the link address. Oh and that official site’s in Flash, so sorry, Nandemonai.
However, there’s an unofficial English site at http://www.ff7ac.net/. So, people like Nande, can go there.

It's been airing for a month already. And it is pretty good. I've only seen the first episode, but I'm interested in the rest.

It’s really good.

I’ve been getting the raws as they air in Japan, and I’m enjoying it a lot.

Plus, Kunisaki Yukito is teh awesome. :>

Well yeah it’s been out for a month, but this thread had been dead for far longer and I didn’t feel like giving it a Phoenix down But now that it’s been revived I feel as I should contribute

Air has been “airing”… LoL, get it? “Airing”. Air… heheh.

AAIIEE!!!
runs away

I know this isn’t anime, but I didn’t really want to start a new topic. I’ve probably started two or three topics since joining. Anyway, has anyone seen this one cooking show called “Dotch Cooking Show”? If you’ve listened to the Ai Yori Aoshi Pine soundtrack, they parodied that show on that one drama track.
But anyway, I got hooked on it. It’s about this show that has seven guests and these two hosts each present a dish. Like this recent one was a choice between Roast Beef and Cold Pork Shabu. And the guests have to vote on which one of the two dishes they want to eat. They try to persuade the guests by showing them the special ingredient and how it got made or grown or whatever the special ingredient is. They vote three times and the last time they vote, whichever side has the most votes gets to eat the dish they chose. The losing side doesn’t eat anything and just watches the winners eat.
It’s a very addictive show, especially when you come from a Japanese family and don’t mind eating most of the stuff they have on. Like one show had Tuna Donburi or Uni Donburi, which is sea urchin and it’s a very unique taste and looks like a brain. So, if you guys receive Asian channels, more specifically that show, I’d suggest you go and watch it. I’ve searched around very little, and it looks almost like it’s shown only in So. Cal. Aside from Japan, of course. I’m sure other networks in other areas and other states have it as well, but Channel 18 in So. Cal. seems to be the popular one.

Wow, this was a long post. I guess I needed someone to talk to or something.
