This sums it up so much better than anything I could write. My recommendation for Te to Te is because I had so much fun playing the demo; I couldn’t stop laughing. :lol: Most of this was due to the lovably quirky cast of characters.
the major problem with hentai games is there are too many good ones and not enough companies that translate them
the 2nd problem is america is too hard on what we consider porn
one example is when gta san andreas was discovered to have the “hot coffee” mod parents freaked out and all the stores wouldn’t sale it
heck there are only a handful of legitimate retail stores that even sell hentai anime/games
i am glad to see another company release them in english but manga gamer isn’t enough
in most of the english speaking world porn/hentai is still very taboo and won’t really sell
and most people caught walking out of the shady porn stores are looked down on
if j-list wasn’t there backing up g-collections, peach princess and jast usa they most likely would have died like the other companies that have tried releasing other h-games and failed
Really? I give them thumbs up, and a creepy smile.
far as I’m concerned I don’t consider mangagamer to be a real translator, I’ve seen some screenshots and whatnot of their games, and the spelling/grammar mistakes are just ridiculous.
I remember a few years ago looking at PP’s site, and there were a small number of games available, and recently looking at it again I was surprised by how many new games showed up. Anyone know on average how many PP releases a year? I imagine there are a quite a few translators involved, and I wonder if they are setting money aside towards a really big title.
That’s mainly because they absorbed G-Collections’ product line (over 25 legacy titles to the library) and have since announced a large number of releases under that brand. I think the recent breakdown is something like this:
2008 = 3 so far (4 more titles initially planned, but most will probably slip to 2009)
2007 = 4
2006 = 5 (incl. two yaoi titles)
2005 = 0
2004 = 2
2003 = 2
2002 = 2 (incl. Transfer Student)
2001 = 4
More importantly, games are coming out faster than ever (though not as fast as the old G-Collections), which is a big improvement for the company.
WRONG! Good ones don’t comes out often, but they are well-known, while the sex romps and average games are little known that they simply don’t exist in people’s knowledge.
Other than that, there’re always overrated games (Shuffle!) and underrated ones (Tsuyokiss)
Oh, no, that’s not necessarily true. The games were spaced out by several years in Japan. I’d expect them to be more or less standard length. I mean, a really short game is probably not good enough to spawn two sequels, right? We’re getting the games now because that’s the way things go in the US market: tons of backlog, so few titles picked for translation.
