What do you want Peach Princess to translate next?

I think your wrong on your view of english dubs. I have seen alot of decent to good ones.

i think i agree with the fact that most english anime dubs are below par, and i think it somewhat has to do with budgeting; and the fact that people seem to like “fake/unnatural” speech/tone of voice you see in many anime

i mean, do you see such sub-par english voice acting in console games, particularly famous ones like FF or MGS that have relatively higher budgets?

Some console games, yes. Other console games, no.

Aside the fact your use of the word “hentai” to qualify ¬Åu¬ê¬π¬Ç√à¬Ç√©¬Ç¬©¬Ç√à¬Åv hurts my eyes, getting the first game would be a WAY better idea. ¬Åu¬âi¬â"¬Ç√å¬ÉA¬ÉZ¬É¬ä¬ÉA¬Åv was an excellent game, with an innovative system, an original take on the classical “save the world” story, excellent characters (how Yuuto or Aselia evolved, for instance, or Lesteena’s admittance of the sins in her actions) and a well-done pacing (starting with Yuuto having to learn the language of Phantasmagoria instead of magically know it of them speaking Japanese is the most realistic yet wonderful because so rare feature of “Japanese person gets into strange fantasy world ever”). Compared to it, ¬Åu¬ê¬π¬Ç√à¬Ç√©¬Ç¬©¬Ç√à¬Åv is stereotypical (“we’re the good guys so we’ll win~”), with so typically “good guys” main characters it made me puke (save for ¬ÉJ¬Ée¬ÉB¬É} and ¬É_¬É¬â¬Éo in the very start, they never either even tried to understand their opponents and find a way other than “we’ll defeat you because we’re the HEROES fighting for LOVE and PEACE, to PROTECT EVERYONE!”; how more sickening stereotypical can that be? In fact, most of the “villains” are way better, complex and rightly motivated than the “heroes”! [most notably the ¬Åw¬å√µ¬Ç√∞¬Ç√†¬Ç¬Ω¬Ç√߬Ǭ∑¬Ç√†¬Ç√å¬Åx or ¬ÉG¬Ég¬ÅE¬ÉJ¬ÅE¬É¬ä¬Ét¬É@]). Bah.
As a SRPG, it’s enjoyable to pay because the system is so good… as long as you don’t bother much with the stories. :frowning:

There are good F&C games nowadays? grins

You used to. It used to be EXTREMELY common – and to a degree still is – to have truly awful voice acting in games. And in many cases, I prefer the original Japanese dialog. Go get the US release of La Pucelle, for instance. The Japanese track is so much better. They translated the in-battle dialog as “Graaaah!” and so on!

Furthermore, the dub problem is odd, because many cartoons did NOT have the problem. One issue is the mouth flaps, but they’ve got better at that. A lot of non-anime cartoons are just fine.

i dunno man, i turn to foxkids on saturday morning and just look at those anime voice acting… :stuck_out_tongue:

I still don’t think that’s as horrible as the voice-acting you get in english dubs of ero-animes - particulary the ones that even boast with having pornstars as voice-actresses!

Oh there are but not the new released ones. Suigetsu says hai!

I wouldn’t call a game released in 2002 something released nowadays.

Someone mention F&C?

How about Canvas2?

Edit: Whoops. pressed the quote button instead of the edit button. So stupid >___< gomen!

there’s a fan translation for Fate/Stay Night. Only the fate route patch is out right now. (this was already mentioned here)

Translation of the CD version of C2 is currently underway.

It’s my understanding, that some or all of the titles have been asked for by Peach Princess or some other group. Seems that KEY charges too much for licensing and won’t negotiate more reasonable pricing. :frowning:

However… enters shameless twincest plug mode

Futari de Hitotsu no Koigokoro was written by and had staff from the Clannad crew:

Sadly, it appears that Giant Panda has gone out of business. However I think they maintain contact through their site. The game was cheaper than most eroge titles in Japan: and seeing as how Giant Panda is financially dead, they might be perceptive to earning a little more $$$.

They also had this ultra fun title from yore:

Narg approves!

(Note to self: draw/make a “Narg’s Seal of Approval” for posts like this)

Yeah, it would be nice… But have you considered Peapri’ loliphobia?
You know, I DO have seen ALL the graphics from your game…

Hey… speaking of FATE. Do you think we’ll get this in the US:

http://www.capcom.co.jp/fate_uc

Capcom made it… although I don’t think it’s going to be as good as Melty Blood. Meh… time will tell.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. Let’s run through the cast, shall we?

The twincest are there to get married. So they’re good.

   :o

Mom isn’t an option in this game. Yea… I know it would be incest - but the twins are doing it. Besides… I don’t think silver is her natural hair color (son claims his hair comes from her). But damn… granny sure ages well, don’t she? :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah… so you know the answer for which Chi is the real Chi from the past. Umm… trying not to spoil it here. But… yea… past and present. The first encounter was ten years ago, when they were eight-ish or so.

To say the truth, no. For those so inclined, getting the CG collection of most erogames is pretty simple (How? Ask the moderators :stuck_out_tongue: ), but this doesn’t mean that the story itself becomes clear (At all!).
However, if I remember correctly, A FEW of those images were pretty… avant-garde :stuck_out_tongue: for Peapri standards, not matter what story behind (for a VERY different, TOTALLY unrelated, and MUCH MORE radical example, go here).
